I’ve currently got a std seat that’s too wide for me so I’m looking to replace with a narrow second hand seat (if I can find one) or perhaps use a bead seat kit on the existing too wide version.

Any thoughts or recommendations on this?

Thanks smile

I'd have a go with expanding foam rather than the bead seat in the first instance. It's easy and fun to see if you can make something that works for you.

A heavy duty bag and some 2 part PU foam will do the job nicely.

Lindsay the prosport is slightly different, I tried fitting my old clubsport seat to the PR6 when I got it but it doesn't line up with the sliding captive nut system at the front floor fittings - Thanks though.

I think I'll give the foam ago.

Thanks for all the responses and pointers and I think I can guessguess smile

Hi Dunc

Successfully fitted a narrow Prosport seat to our PR6 couple of years ago which gave better legroom and a usefully lower head height as well as a much more suitable width. Didn't involve moving front seat runners, just handing etc mid and rear brackets. Having a big foam insert in a seat that is simply way too big can be a right pain, likely conflicting with elbows for some drivers.

Cheers

That's very interesting Trev, could I bother you for a couple of photo's of the mounting points on yours? smile I have been getting nasty elbow bruises!

Thanks
