go pr6 best fun you can have and easy maintained. pr6 you have to drive, the sr3 was a lot less fun and i raced both for several years. my tuned 1500 was only 1.4seconds a lap slower than my mates sr8 testing at snett and he was a european class front runner. that was however 10 years ago now!!

Agreed, the tiny PR6 with a mega 1500 is going to be ballistic! And you're not too shabby a driver!
Mind you how did you make the chain last more than a lap or two?

Anyone know how to remove the double seat? Is it just the 6 bolts and pull it out?

Yes but a lot easier with two people, its bit of an art to get in and out. Might also help to remove the roll hoop forward diagonal bars.

Thanks, managed to get it out, found that art.

I downloaded data from the ECU and AIM, I currently have no idea what to do with it haha. Going to the Data Analysis guide for the ECU.

Hi Gareth,

After a few hours, I've been through the data analysis guide and now know what i am looking at. Checked all the parameters on LiveView and everything checks out.

I pumped the data from the AIM into Race Studio, it looks like each session is recorded as each lap. I didn't set anything up before my track day and the track map its created is way off. But i have an understanding of what I am looking at now.

I'm guessing i need to upload a track map from GPS Manager to the AIM, then this will log each lap? Is there anything else I need to do? Also seen you can configure the AIM to show lap time in real time on the dash.

As I don't have a SmartyCam i tried Race Render 3 for the data overlay. Works a treat, great video quality and data overlay.

I need to upload maps to my AIM and hopefully the IR receiver will log the lap times as I only have a GPS for SmartyCam and not a GPS08 module.

Looking forward to getting back out on track smile

If you have the SmartyCam correctly interfaced with the dash the dash will use the GPS feed from the Cam. You can load the tracks directly to the SmartyCam GPS.

You can check that all the devices are working together with the AIM Racestudio.

Worth updating all the firmware to avoid any bugs.

I don't have a SmartyCam, only a GPS Cam module. So was hoping to still log lap times by uploading the maps to the AIM, it was mentioned the IR receiver is connected to the AIM so that should work............I hope.

I'm using an Aim dash but without the smarty cam as well, didn't realise there was an easy (if it was easy) way to do this. It's a GoPro Hero4 I use.

Thanks for posting the results smile

Cheers,

Dunc.

Edited to add - I've just done one of my vids with race render, easy enough and free (if you don't mind the logo). Good stuff smile

i cant remember if colin ran dual chains... i know a few of the guys did that ran 15xx busas in the PR6/prosports here... they sure were a rapid little thing.

i think Colin (ctm) has long since retired... and was last seen with flat cap/slippers and looking up specs of mobility scooters........... :-O

Colin - if you do end up reading this...... you'll be glad to know your trusty HANS device might be making a competitive return this year !!
