I run a SR3RS on track days and have always used Dunlop slicks and wets.
Does any one have experience and thoughts on alternatives.
Thanks
David

Few of us up here in Scotland have tried Avons slicks instant grip compared to Dunlops but cost more(hard to get used ones ud be better buying new) much softer rubber hence grip levels .. but don't last as long !! seems Hancooks are similar.. but few teams now selling used ones what ive heard is Dunlops seemed to last longer in racing stints but if ur doing track days it wouldn't matter as ur prob not out for 40min .. lots used good cheap Dunlops from racing teams also think Hancook prob gave Radical better deal than Dunlop for racing !! as for wets Dunlops are great grip levels haven't tried any others .. overall seems more info for Dunlops for set ups etc as theve been linked with radical for many years as they say" pays ur money"

Avons, like has been said, come in very quick.
They are never at their best after the first weekend, much like dunlops, but still keep going for many weekends after. I did 4 race weekends on a set last year and they still have tread depth. brand new ones were 1/2 second quicker back to back although tracks change day by day and even during the day.

Thanks guys for the replies.
Do either of you have experience of the Avon wets as opposed to the Dunlops
Thanks David
