I think they mainly went into Europe but I cannot believe it was anywhere near 100.

Agreed on the cost, this is my reasoning behind them producing this car to make the most of that cost. But then they do mention IVA in the launch. Not sure how much I take from that though as I am fairly sure he also mentions a top speed that is different to the board behind him detailing the specs!

Hi,

I know I struggled to get much joy out of Radical when I was looking to get an SL, basically they would not get back to me! I presume it will be different now....whats the point of having a new car to sell if they are not even going to respond to emails / phone calls!

Let me know how you get on - Gareth
It's interesting you say this Gareth because I too have found this. Radical never seem to get back to me after leaving voice mails/emails so it's really hard to get to test any Radical. So I'd say customer service is left wanting and it's it hard to spend so much money with a company to inspire confidence.

Back to the Rapture, I much prefer the new wing on this than the SL. The SL wing looked a bit strange, I did think the width of a road wing cannot be wider than the car, so of course you can have a wing as wide as the rear of the car and that is it to pass the IVA process. The SL was narrower than the width of the car and I know a lot of owners replaced it for a wider one that resembles the outgoing SR3.

For the price, I'd say you'd be much better off getting a newish SR3 for around £42k a 2016 engine refresh with 0 hrs and spending the remainder £66k on another track road car like an Ultima, Atom or Caterham. I really find it hard to see success with this car at that price point.

I would take a wild guess on numbers of SL sold at 47 ? Based on nothing but woman’s intuition

Yes, when I first starting looking at getting a Radical SL, the price I found was around the £59 500 mark. I thought hmmm....not too bad, then I realised that VAT had to be added to that! Which shoved it past the 70K mark!

The 100K + mark....I can see the other half getting the rolling pin out already!

Very interesting read

I’ve spoken to Radical in the past and always found them very helpful when ordering parts for my old SR3

The new Rapture looks a great car

Looks just like an SR3 to me with a nice seat insert and a bit of a quilted dash!

Doesn't make it bad though.

I suppose, but the car engine is a big plus for a Street legal car imo
Suspension geometry also must be easier to manage with the higher ride height, do you think you could even get a Sr3 RS that high without compromising the handling hugely?
