XJ Super V8 SC LWB Portfolio (2009, Facelifted X358)

Lovely ride... One of only 145 apparently.

Only ever seen two of these in the flesh. One at a motorshow when new and the other on the road a few years back.
They move incredibly quick due to the aluminium body. Jag purposely didn’t fit it with the 5.0 as it would have been as quick as the xk.

Didn’t the 5.0 launch the same year as X351... hence never fitted to x350 (358) due the limits of time rather than anything else.

Yes the AJ133 started life in 2009. There were a few X358 test mules running around prior to that but not for sale. The car was far too close to the end of life to be tooled for it.

Shame really a final year XJR and Daimler v8 with that engine would have been amazing

I once saw a traffic light Grand Prix with one of these 4.2 ali bodied XJR’s and A same year Porsche of which I presume wasn’t a turbo. The Porsche had a popping exhaust sneaked up the inside of the jag to be caught at the lights. The jag was quiet as you like with now both cars sitting on the front row, then the lights when green! The jag rear squatted and just went like wow! No screech of tyres just fecking went! The Porsche tried bless, making lots of exhaust noise but the jag totally annihilated it. Always wanted one ever since smile

Got the XJR-S back and now running as good as it ever has in our ownership smile

Took it for a quick drive last night with a friend's R8.

After months of trying to decide what I wanted, looking at Mustangs, V8 Vantages, Giulia Quadrifoglio's, XFR's and XFR-S's, I finally look the plunge and bought an XFR.

It's a 15MY, 2014 registered XFR in Stratus Grey. The original owner went pretty mental with the options list smile

It's got Speed Pack, Black Pack, Adaptive Cruise, Adaptive Headlights, Blind Spot Monitoring, High Beam Assist, Carbon Fibre Interior and Meridian Surround.

My second Jag (after a spell in a 3.0 X-Type). This time a proper Jag with a V8 and no roof bowtie

High spec and that plate prefix suggests ex-management car for JLR staff.

Looks lovely and they are such good value too. I'm very strongly tempted by wafting along in one when my back complains about the firm ride in my Z4C.

Those coupes must be bigger than I thought as the front numberplates look tiny.

Was at an exhibition in Denbigh, North Wales last night about the 1970s Formula 1 driver Tom Pryce. This immaculate E-Type was there. I'm seriously in love.
