Hello Everyone,

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions...The roof on the e-type has been caused some damage to the seats when it is folded. The problem is that I'm tall (probably too tall for the car really) and the hinge bites into the leather because the seat is as far back as it can be. Has anyone seen any kind of protection for the hinge like a rubber cover or something? Or is my only option to move the seat closer and just live with it?

Thanks,

This is common on many OTS E Types, as far as I am aware there is no direct solution, I have seen a leather "sock" made up and fitted over each hinge to stop the seat leather being marked.

It's still a problem on the X150 XKR, put the seat right back and it rubs on things. At least it's not an angry looking piece of steel it's rubbing on, but it does make an irritating squeaking noise.

yeah its a bit of catch 22, surprised there isn't a more readily available option. its not the only car I've got the problem in.
