XK satnav upgrade

Recently purchased 2007 xkr and my sat nav was not working properly wouldn’t allow entry of full post code and no gps signal
So bought newer disk 2018 and had same message come up , read your post and have reinserted been running twenty minutes and says cd check in process will take for drive and see what happens , hopefully haven’t damaged unit anyone have any ideas .
Read on jag forum that loss of gps probably due to faulty antenna , new one due Monday , will see.
