Has anyone debadged their Jaguar (rear of the car), especially me getting this XKR recently I have seen a few guys seem to take off the XK but leave the R badge on, or take both off? What are your thoughts on taking badges off these cars. Or do you think they should be left 'factory' and left alone. The 'Jag leaper' is bolted on so this would be left on.

I personally think the XKR looks good with or with out the XK badge.

I found this picture on a US Jaguar Forum of the Rear.

I have no issue with people knowing it's an XK.

However the leaper stuck on the bootlid (which I can't see on your photo) on later cars looks wrong to me, too asymmetrical.

Can't see the point really, it's an XK...R it is what it is.

Would I debadge mine no, what's the point?

^^^ On this pic above, I think they had a new rear spoiler ordered (replacement in accident) and asked for it with out holes for badge) reading it.

This is a stock photo from a review.

I have done a quick 'photoshop of the badges' XK removed and then XK & r removed but left the Jag on.

Original

XK removed

XKR removed

Not just XKR's there seems to be quite a few F-types and XF's XJ's.

I agree, but sometimes cars do look better without the badges everywhere and a cleaner line. It was just a general question really to see if many had done anything to their cars (but this is looking unlikely wink )

Wish i had took some photos but i was driving , but i did once see the other side of badging ,driving on the M62 a while back i saw a new Jag XE being driven by its obviously very proud asian gentleman owner it had a leaper on the front a jaguar badge under each door handle and two on the rear . There was absolutely no chance of mistaking it for anything but a Jaguar hehe

I'm not a de-badger myself. Can't see the point. Think the XKR with no badges looks like it lacking something. Looks ok with just the R badge perhaps.

My F-type has quite a few badges on the rear. F-type, R and AWD, but wouldn't remove any of them.

If the leaper leaves a hole, maybe stick a growler over it.

Debadging is for people who have the 1.8 model and want to hide it!

Only badge I would remove is the leaper on the rear (2012 onwards).
It looks too much like a cheap trinket to me.

My 2012 XK was already de-badged when i bought it. The X and K are in a plastic side wallet in the book pack. My preference would be for the original badges to be on the car as I'm not a d-badge fan. But finding the right stuff to stick them back on with and then getting them in exactly the right position, isn't something I'm minded to take on any time soon !
