XJ 350/358 Navigation

I have just bought a replacement dvd for my Daimler super 8 navigation. Before I try to update the system is there anything I should know about the procedure - There are no instructions whatsoever!

Be patient. It is sometime since I did my S Type but it did take quite a while to carry out the firmware upgrade etc. prior to allowing me back into the updated maps etc.

Yes - I believe they are pretty rare - I was very lucky having bought it at 8 years old having only done 28000 miles.

I'll try to attach a few shots but my computer tech knowledge is pretty limited.

I have to say that I have toyed with buying an xj351 with all the toys but I hear that they are not that reliable plus I have an excellent guy, David Marks, in Nottingham, who works on these cars up to the xj358 but no further and he has been so good I am reluctant to move to a model where I will have to find another person who will struggle to measure up to Mr Marks.

Strikes me its about time they brought out a 2017/2018 version of dvd now! Lots of road changes in the past 5 years or so.
