Hi All,

OK, we have decided that an XKR will be our next car. Tend to keep my cars for 6 to 8 years and do about 19k miles per year. Moving from a 2005 BMW 650i.

I have bought a 2011 brochure and price list together with a used buyers guide. So far, so good. Search can take many months in our house.

With mine there were two key Fobs.

Keyless entry on the 5ltr.

If you were looking for something metal, the fobs have a detachable emergency key that pulls out. I haven't had to use it but it goes in the passenger side lock and under the boot lip.

Of all first questions....two fobs, no keys!

C’mon give us some hard ones ;-)

Goodness, reminds me of school; "Must try harder". All the difficult queries revolve around running this as a company car, as opposed to a new diesel wink

Thanks for responses.

Good choice and potentially the best time to buy one in the winter months!

I've generally bought AWD/4x4's in Summer and sports gt's in the winter can save as much as £5k used (car dependant).

Picked up my 2014 Dynamic R last month for at least £7k under list

Had my last XK8 for 13+ years and hope to do the same with this one biggrin

That looks stunning. Well wear!
A DynamicR could be in the running, but as it will only get washed about once a month, would not work.

You don't HAVE to buy a white one, it was my last choice as wanted stratus silver, but the 3rd party garage selling it didn't know it was a dynamic and were selling for normal XKR money. There were only 5 with the spec available in the UK at the time I bought mine.

Weird though that on sale the Dynamic R was cheaper than the XKR had been, they just through everything left in the parts bin at it! smile

Used they seem to have held their values better as perhaps a wanted commodity as the outgoing production year (2014)

Best of luck!
