Curious to learn from owners how they have found the reliability of the V6S F Type? I have been looking at early 2013-2014 models.

Looks like you can still get them used with a couple of years of Jag warranty intact which is nice. That said I'd I'm interested to know how strong the engine/gearbox/electrics are, especially being supercharged and presumably under a lot more stress than the N/A V6.

Jag have been supercharging for years now, I'm not aware of any major issues, though imagine higher mileage F Types will be very rare.

Weak point on the engine is the supercharger snout.

And there is no N/A V6.

Had two now ( Sorry both V8's ). Only problem so far was the raising center vent got suck half way. Fixed under Jag warranty. Car was a 2014 vintage.

I’ve had my V6S for 2.5 years and no problems, lovely car but only done 12.5k miles. Would recommend www.ftypeownersclub.co.uk for some useful advice.

I've had my 2015 V6 F Type Coupe for 1 year, 28k mileage, FSH and completely trouble free to date.

My XFR-S is having £14k of engine work currently. Its problem affects the V6 more often.

Do they not rust quite a bit underneath.

Yep as a prospective buyer I’m interested to know more about this issue

There are a few topics on the F-Type forum https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk with reference to the cross brace rust issue.

Manufacturing defect on the tappet of valve 4b causing a very noisy tappet noise. Needed a new cylinder head assy as a result due to a screwed valve guide that’s non-serviceable.. The other was refurbed - decoke and valve grind. 32 new tappets. New oil pump. Three new chain tensioners. Had its first test run today, so hopefully will be back soon.
