Sorry lads. Bit late to the party - only just seen this.
I’d be up for a meet up and a drive. Had mine 2 weeks now.

Hi Guys, I am uber close to buying one. Any advice on how good / bad they are to live with? Any thoughts from real owners would be amazing!

Thanks in advance

Great noise. Great engine. If you can live with panel gaps all over the place then do it.

Why don't you all come to the Breakfast club meet at Gaydon I know one of the above Cars was there last time and created a lot of interest and noise.

When is it? Anything particularly interesting on the Project 8 from your perspective?

The car is insanely capable on the public road.

I’ve had V10 R8, McL 12C, F-TYPE R, RS 4 etc and this thing is off the scale compared to those

It has a very aggressive angry character when driving hard, but can be a pussy cat when pootling.

Thank you. So just pootling around it's genuinely not too hard? Silly question but what's ground clearance like? Front splitter looks very low (I live in speedhump hell!) or is it not too bad?

Any other tips? I guess what I'm asking is now you own and drive one is there anything you wish you'd known or thought of beforehand?

I'm truly grateful for any insight, need to decide by tomorrow basically, thank you.

it made it to the Jag Breakfast meeting and they have speed bumps on entry. The next meeting is 4th May Saturday you can spend the day in the Car park looking and talking to Jag owners and their Cars or go for Breakfast and visit the National motor Museum and the Jaguar Annexe . I needed to get my arse into gear and start using the Car more so this is a perfect day for me about 270 mil round trip in the XK8 4.2 avg 36mpg.
