Why change a car that’s pretty much already perfect? Just enjoy it the way it’s meant to be rolleyes

Inside or out? If you have trouble finding it in the dark how about a bit of (tasteful!) chrome trim?

Well, thinking back to my student days, how about a gold sunstrip and Halfords spotlights bolted on the front? nuts

Good job. Let’s hope you have better luck with the engine than I did. £14k worth of engine repairs under warranty on a 15 plate XFR-S

Wouldn’t bother, they are pretty bullet proof.. The Jag Warranty is £1k. I just keep some cash aside, just incase.

I wouldn’t call £14k worth of engine work in 9 months ‘bullet proof’. Chains and tensioners are becoming a bit too common.

what company was your warranty with ? or was it a jlr warranty ? read some horror story on PH of xfr ( same engine i think ) having to have it replaced ! possible garage fault but still expensive !

Mine’s the Jag extended warranty. It’s very good, but unsure if it’s possible if there’s a gap between dealer warranty and wanting to use extended.

You can lay the inspection fee £300? (rectify whats wrong) and stick the Jag extended warranty on.

Not saying that, but yours is the exception. If I had the TDV6, I’d not run one without an JLR Warranty..

Fingers crossed mine will be ok....

It’s starting to be a lot more common. Mine’s defo not the exception. In fact it appears that any pre-2018 engines are suspect. There was a new design of tensioner out earlier this year.
