Look at the offside panel gap between wing, bonnet and bumper But, even so, a prospective purchaser spotting that on an internet advert, wouldn’t take the enquiry any further and the garage lose the chance of a sale.
Sadly, I genuinely think some of these garages miss (big time) that people purchasing these type of vehicles are actually enthusiasts - and do spot stuff like this.

I wasn’t questioning the existence of discounts. As I said you can get 10% off an F-type and on an 80k car that’s 8k discount. Last time I counted on my fingers that is a four figure discount. I was questioning the alleged FIVE figure discounts. Can anyone show where you can get over 10k off an F-type or any other new Jaguar? I haven’t seen anything like that.
I wasnt seeking to grind any axe Craig and I hope your are keeping well ? I am convinced the £10k discount will be out there somewhere because sales on any new Jaguar is virtually glacial . We are looking at a supposed 15% of the Marketplace actually sticking their hand in their own pocket to fund a New Car purchase and when you factor the age of these Private Purchasers into the equation I suspect its Companies like Kia that trouser most of this money .There are other views out there of course but seeing how strapped for cash many young couples are nowadays I wouldn't have thought I was far wrong .

What car can you get a five figure discount on? Where are these stacks of unsold cars? Last time I checked they had an order backlog of over 100000 cars across both brands and were prioritising building Range Rover because of its huge profit margin to use the limited chips it can get effectively. JLR has not, as far as I know, built any cars without a clear customer (which may be dealer display) for well over 10 years.
I got a £5-figure discount on an F-Pace SVR last September, very quick (end of quarter) cash purchase.I heard something quite interesting today from a reliable source. Apparently they will be announcing the permanent CEO within the next few weeks and there may be two…. One for Jaguar and one for Land Rover. If that comes to pass then a divestiture is definitely on the cards once Jaguar has something new to sell I reckon.
A couple of publications reporting JLR had all retailers in a meeting last week. Got them all to sign NDA's. Told them of the 83 Jaguar retailers across the UK they are going to reduce that to less than 20 within 2 years.
What with that, the talk of new CEO, none platform sharing with Land Rover it does seem that Tata may be looking to off load Jaguar.

I think it's less of an offloading and more a change of model. I believe that with Jaguar going all electric, they'll reduce to a number of key "service locations" for legacy vehicles and copy Tesla in a direct sale business model for the new ones. What with that, the talk of new CEO, none platform sharing with Land Rover it does seem that Tata may be looking to off load Jaguar.

Exactly what I’ve been saying all along since the start of the reimagine strategy. What with that, the talk of new CEO, none platform sharing with Land Rover it does seem that Tata may be looking to off load Jaguar.
Today they have announced that Rawdon Glover, the UK MD for JLR has moved to head up the Jaguar brand globally. No word yet what this means for Philip Koehn who has been in that role since just December.

I think you're right, that's their strategy. However I do think Tata are hedging their bets by not platform sharing with Land Rover and splitting CEO's. It makes a break that much easier should it be necessary. Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
