Seeing that just emphasises what a great design the Eventer is.
That's just triggered a horrible memory. Back in the early nineties I used to occasionally see a yellow XJS shooting brake in the Chilterns which reminded me of a cross between a low slung hurst and an early 70s Lincon town car, with the padded vinyl roof with oval windows on the sides. hurl

What is the red shooting brake in the background?

It doesn’t look like an Eventer.

Still no Eventer, but that's much nicer than the Avon XJ estates.

Just goes to show how difficult it is designing a nice estate car...

Still got the C pillar droop though, really annoys me they didn't fix that.

A Humberstone XJ6, designed for the Jaguar dealer Hatfields. A very rare car.

Lynx Eventer 001 - the first prototype is back on the road. She was at Gaydon at the weekend for the big Jaguar event. Still a bit of work to do, but running, with an MOT and still turning heads

According to a Jaguar Magazine posting on FB the Gucci XJ-S Eventer is being sold at the Goodwood FOS auction at the end of the week.
Sadly Bonham's website is down and just giving the default "NGINX 500 internal error" page when you try the address that Google gives biglaugh

I saved all the photos. Here are a few of the Gucci car for you. Spent many a year trying t track down this car but suddenly a very coy post appeared on PH asking did anyone know about it ans what was it worth. A PM elicited no reply, it was sold, and is now for resale with a top estimate of £70,000 which I would expect it to easily pass. Loking at it though, in some ways I am glad I never bought it. Rather too flamboyany for me, crocodile skin seats and all. The original plan was to make a series of twenty, colour to the client's choice.

I'm sure there's a copy of an original sales brochure kicking around online, it's probably linked to from this thread and I've been too lazy to hunt back to check. It's not in the Jag Lovers repository.

We have a fantastic file for our Eventer, filled with brochures, correspondence with the factory and all sorts of ephemera.
Most of the team responsible for building these beautiful cars are still working in the industry, or linked closely to companies that are involved in restorations etc.

At one point there was talk of maybe building a few more, so if anyone wants an Eventer (suspect it wouldn't be called a Lynx now) there may be possibilities...
