XK8 Heat from under car

I notice that, after a drive, when getting out of the car, the heat coming from underneath is quite intense.

Anyone else noticed this and is it presumably from the exhaust?

I have noticed it in a different car that I owned that had 2 large exhausts, I had it checked out as it seemed excessively hot.
It turned out to be completely normal, and was the exhaust.

I think that I'll get mine checked too.

It's bloody hot under there and better safe than sorry.

My XJS does the same thing. I think it's the effect of a big engine and a big exhaust. Judging by the heat-shielding in the engine bay, I think that this is OK.
