Save a few more £ and provide your own oil if you're keen.

If my service required light is on at around 19k miles can I get away with driving the 500 miles to London and back or will VW be angry? I've got it booked in for Tuesday for a service.

Just ring the garage. They will advise.

Usually ok if its booked in already, they do allow a tolerance of time / miles smile

Have noticed a rumbling noise coming from near side. Can’t pin down whether it’s front or rear. Anyone else experienced same problem?
I'm having my nearside front suspension replaced on Wednesday, top mount it knackered I think... it's done 18k miles! All under warranty of course.
VW have told me that a diagnostic will cost £60 but that if it turns out there is a problem that is under warranty they will not charge me. Did they do the same with you? I'm reluctant to risk spending any money on it as it will be going back in around 2 months - but also not keen to keep rumbling on for that period!
What??!! That's bloody hopeless, VW in Didcot were great, it was due a service but they inspected the car for free and repaired it a week later. I'd call them to say you've got a car under warranty that's making a horrible noise from the front suspension and you're unsure if safe to drive.. if they try to charge call VW central line and complain, they're taking the p1ss!
Turned out to be a flat spot on tyre. Still at 3.3mm so won’t replace before it goes back. Didn’t take long to diagnose so they charged £42 and got complimentary clean and vac. Not too shabby.

Judging by large hike in monthly payments they quoted, not sure it's a sensible plan to purchased it

I rang up VWFS today to get a settlement figure as I have another car ready next week.
I only have just over 3 months left on the lease and the price to settle was £103.00 which is good. The lady asked would I like a price to buy... I said yes , but I can’t have a price for another few weeks as they can only issue a price when there is less than 90 days of the contract left, so I have to wait until 22/02.

Anyone had a price yet?

Mines a 2016 (16) auto in white with 10k on it. I reckon it's worth about £22k-£23k retail so £19k-£20k would be a good price to buy it to make it worth it.

Would be interested to see prices people are quoted compared to their value.

My 90 day mark is 16 Feb. Hoping for £16.5k lol, will more likely be £23k. I've the manual in solid grey with 25k on it.

Anyone had a quote in to extend their lease? I requested it about two weeks ago and followed up last week but yet to hear back.

Someone on the best lease thread said they had a quote for something like £350 -£450 per month, but I can't find the post and they may have been on more mileage.

I am already looking for its replacement, but I doubt I will lease again unless another super deal comes up very soon - I fancy an old Merc. biggrin

My quote was £386 for 6 months and £469 for 12 months. This is on 15,000 miles and I currently pay £183.80.

I can request a price to purcahse on the 16th Feb which I will do so.

WBAC are saying £16,500 for the mileage when I hand it back. I've no idea what VW will come up with.

Is there any way of finding out when the next service is due? I has a play while waiting for the windscreen to defrost this evening, but couldn't find it.

It’s in either car or menu and then something like system or settings.
