Got a price for my Alltrack today - 17.5k miles, 190bhp / DSG Auto, Urano Grey..... £22,500.00.

A lot more than I expected, so it's going back next week.

I've really enjoyed it despite the 1970's automatic gear box and enjoyed reading the threads here too!
Apart from one car with 45k miles, 22.5 is where they start on Autotrader. So, basically, you're just being asked to pay full retail value with no discount.

I can see them all going back soon. Will be interesting to see how many basic Urano ones turn up on the market in the next few months!

Its certainly made my mind up. I've also got the 190 auto in Urano but with 12k miles.
I might have been tempted at 18k but no chance at 22k+.

Yes I was expecting about £18.5k - £19k but not prepared to pay £22.5k. Most VW dealers are charging those sort of prices at their dealerships.

There does seem now to be quite a few on Autotrader, and I can imagine there will be more soon - I imagine that being quite a specific car, residuals will drop if they don't sell?

I did see one at a VW dealer last week (online) that was the same registration as mine, just the next letter up in the alphabet. Mine is a CA16 K** (Cardiff Dealership)

BCA are coming out on Thursday to inspect and taking away on Friday.

It was the same a few years ago when my brother had a Golf GTD. He really looked after it and I quite fancied it, but the price was full VW forecourt retail.

The good cars sell to the dealers through closed auctions and I've seen comments they go for way over normal auction prices as VW leans on dealers to take a certain value of cars.

I am sure I read on the best lease deal thread that VWFS will negotiate on price - someone went back and forth a few times and got it cheaper.

Mine has about 10.5k on it and is going back early before the end of March to make way for a Urano Tiguan.

Worse. Well hopefully not. It's a 1.4TSi DSG! eek

My wife needs an automatic.

Can anyone provide details a silver paint that will match the bottom front spoiler lip.

I have asked the VW parts department, and unbelievably they say they don’t have a paint code for it!

The silver colour on this bit is a bit duller than the other silver trim on the rest of the car. I need to patch up a few scuffs along the bottom before the car goes back. It’s out of the way so I reckon a good rattle can should be OK.

Anyone used anything similar on this or another newish VW?

I have a paint issue at the rear lower area valance with what I presume is the same silver. I'll detach the part and spray it VW Reflex Silver. As long as it's vaguely the same who cares, right hehe

You’re right, as in if its going to be all the same colour. However the front lip, which needs a ‘touch up’ is part of quite a large piece that carries on under the car.

I was hoping to avoid a lot of work by simply covering up the damaged bit ‘in-situ’ with a paint that matched smile

Mine is going today!

BCA come out yesterday and no issues , it was clean and tidy and all intact , so just waiting for them to collect.

I’ve enjoyed having the car and the cheap motoring! Bye bye alltrack.

I know this is probably rtfm hehe but what's the process? Did you call or email VWFS and they just arrange BCA to come to your home address? How much notice do they need?

Yes pretty much - I rang VWFS as I wanted to send the car back earlier than the contract term, so just rang them up, pay the fees and then they pass your details onto BCA.

BCA will ring you to make an appointment to come and inspect and another to take away.
The guy (or woman!) who comes to inspect wont be the person who takes it away.

I arranged for them to inspect it yesterday and collect it today.

BCA man come to inspect, had a look at the body, alloys, interior etc and checks for locking wheel nut etc. Gives you a form to sign, then BCA come today to take it away and that's it.

No issues / faults with my car, so no fees due to for repairs, scratches, kerbed alloys etc. so can't complain. The guy who come to inspect was pleasant, however was going back to Yorkshire from Stockport...not sure he will have made it on the m62 yesterday!!!!

That's great info thanks. What was the lead time in the process? How long from calling VW to having the car collected? Need to dovetail with V90 arrival! smile

Sorry for late reply - it’s pretty quick ,within a week but could have been shorter if I wanted, it was convenient for me to have it collected when I wanted, but you just make the plans with BCA at a mutual time.

Thanks, perfect. I'm not sure exactly how much notice I'll get about pick up for the Volvo so that's good news it can be done in such a short turnaround.

I discovered yesterday that the front passenger seat doesn’t have isofix, even though the front airbag can be switched off - that seems strange and a bit tight, for an expensive family orientated car.

It's possible that number of ex-lease cars will take values down. If someone is interested in getting their car cheaper, just watch Autotrader and see if your car shows up there.

I don’t think many (any?) cars have front Isofix.

It's optional on Skoda Kodiaq and Superb. Don't think it's available on any VW, oddly.
