Meh, I'd prefer a Renault Kadjar...Oh.... This ones much longer and very detailed, and comes with a bespoke VW German accent!

I was lucky, I tried to change from CVL to Bedford VW and almost lost my deal in the process. Fortunately CVL came good and as the finance had been approved on Thursday, the dealer/supplier will honour the offer.
I went for:
Reflex Silver
Dynamic Chassis Control
Dynaudio Audio Upgrade
If I like the car I may try and buy it at the end of the lease. Apparently the auction house (BCA) will try and flog it to the leasee in the first instance as that saves them a lot of money/hassle taking it to auction. If the PCP GMFV are anything to go by for 24 months/20k miles, may be able to buy for ~£18k. What a steal that'd be!

Anyone still waiting for confirmation?
Signed and sent the proposal form through Thursday midday. Spoke to the sales dept Friday who said "they sent it there and then and didnt get an error code, so hopefully it went through OK and are awaiting confirmation from the supply team."
Still havent heard anything. What are my chances like?

This is (I think) how it works....
You sign up using a proposal form (or do it over the phone, with the same details such as name, address, address and work history). This is used to put the finance application in to VWFS. This is the important bit - the proposal has to be accepted before you are confirmed to get the deal. It is the VWFS financing package that controls whether the deal is available or not.
You need to get confirmation that your finance has been accepted. Submitting a proposal and assuming it is all ok is not sufficient. This is why I recommend always doing this over the phone if you are dealing with the a dealer directly.
The final stage is then the dealer assigning your order (for which you would have signed a proper order form), which generates a factory order number.
Not sure if that helps answer your question. Please someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Seems a lot of people are unsure where they are in the process.

Hello folks, I just saw one of these deals this morning on select:
https://www.selectcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/vol...
Change the mileage to 10k and it should give you a figure. I work this out at 6399 for the total term. Hope someone can make use of it!
Thanks to this link I spent much of yesterday afternoon pondering whether a Golf R might be a viable alternative to my 2.0TDi.https://www.selectcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/vol...

Some Man Maths was involved, along the lines of:
Sell the TDi (2012, owned from nearly new, bought outright) which WBAC values at £7440 - which is more than enough for the R over 24 months. The justification is that the current car is depreciating anyway, and what you're effectively paying for on the lease deal is depreciation. From that viewpoint, all you're doing is paying the depreciation monthly, rather than taking the hit in a couple of years when the car is sold.
I'm not convinced that TDi's are going to hold on to much of their value over the next couple of years anyway, given the recent adverse publicity over emissions and groundswell of opinion, informed or otherwise against diesels.
I know that a couple of years down the line I would need to start again with another lease, and who knows what the situation will be then - will the current cheap lease deals still be available? Nobody can predict that they will, so I could be left with a choice of leasing something much more mundane, or buying something cheaper. Then again, my current Golf might not be worth much in two years anyway, and there's always the spectre of something unexpected and expensive happening.
First World problem.

That looks lovely. How are you finding it?
I wanted to go for the upgraded wheels but just couldn't justify it.
Same here, could not justify the expense for the 19'sI wanted to go for the upgraded wheels but just couldn't justify it.
Might take a punt on these - eBay item number 262374656138
This suggests that they may fit and might give a slightly wider stance?

By the time you put tyres on them, you're into them for £1000 at least, worth £3-400 when you want to sell them?
Not worth the aggro I'd say, just get them on from the factory and pay interest free for your term?
Valid point and if they are not forged they could buckle and crack too on our potholed roads! Not worth the aggro I'd say, just get them on from the factory and pay interest free for your term?
Not keen on paying the £990 option and having nowt to show for it at the end.
The lease cost is fine, that's just depreciation and cash or HP you will lose that anyway. Trying to keep the original super deal price as low as possible
Might just keep an eye out for some originals on eBay - they will always sell well afterwards.

I've spent £600 on options, on things that I want/need, the carnet app connect and Dynaudio. Would love the wheels, metallic, and a few other bits, but then the deal doesn't look anywhere near as tasty. Not keen on paying the £990 option and having nowt to show for it at the end.

As it is, my man maths make the car cost £50 a month anyway, so maybe I should've splurged!
I too will keep an eye on eBay etc, but not too fussed, as it's a ridiculously good car for next to nothing.
Pooped in to a local VW today to have a gander as although I've ordered I have never actually seen an 'R' estate. They had an estate on site but wasn't able to sit in. Had a good look over the hatch though. Love it and am very much looking forward to delivery. Although I will be sad for our X-Trail lease to end in September as that has been a brilliant car for our needs.
Quick question; Are the standard mirrors chrome or colour coded. The VW brochure lists both as standard features. I had assumed chrome was standard and colour coded was a free option?
