That's who i've just ordered through.

Note i went for 6+23 as for some reason it reduced the overall cost by about £100 (not a huge amount but that's 2 tanks of fuel paid for).

They've been savvy & ordered ahead so basically very close to the crazy deals from a few weeks ago, however they've bulk ordered a load of standard spec Pure White Estates for delivery in 6 weeks.

Edited to say they also don't charge fees which many of the dealers/brokers a few weeks ago did & most were charging £300.

Just out of interest, how much are you ending up paying a month? I heard about the crazy deals, but they didn't seem all that crazy to me...

£274 including VAT & RFL, so £7900 in total over the 2 years.

Have to disagree with chap on the video re. Rubin Black, what an awful colour. Might have been OK if it was a metallic, but as a flat colour it just looks wrong IMO.

I went for it!! Think I got the last one!

Delivery in October !!!

They were factory orders - as I could have changed the colour and spec if I wanted. Just left it as standard to maintain that price seeing as it's not actually mine to worry about resell etc!

Isn't white always listed because it's the only 'free' colour?

You can pay for other colours, but the quoted amount won't apply.

I paid for Lapiz Blue (once you're paying for paint, what's a little more?) and have had many comments on how nice it looks.

If you can live with a white Golf, fine - I decided it was worth a little more not to feel like the Gas Meter man every time I walked out the door! biggrin

I think you just took mine. I ordered it Friday but went to manual underwriting. Just approved but the last Golf just went!

I ordered one of the ones from a few weeks ago and they just sent me the Reg Number and asked when I wanted it delivered.

Away on holidays for a month in a few weeks time so arranged delivery for when I get back so I'll have something nice to come home to.

Okay, not crazy, crazy cheap, but a good price for the moment I suppose.

That is bonkers. 99% VAG in there, they must be throwing so much money at deals to get cars on the road.

Agreed. Not quite the crazy deals from a few months ago, but only a few hundred more over there term & still thousands lower than the deals today which range from £390-£508 per month on the same profile as i've ordered.

Also bear in mind this is the DSG Estate, which is a few £k more OTR than the Manual Hatch that most of the insane deals were on, also only a 6+ profile whereas most were 9+ a while ago, so the whole of term costs are only slightly higher.

New review of the R Estate. His 'rap' hands when he is walking and talking annoy me hehe

Nice to see my local roads in the video though !

Ordered one on Friday too. Received an email quote for GAP insurance today, £250 for the term with the option of 10 x £25 monthly
what's the general consensus with gap insurance? is that a decent price?

Ah yes, I know it's the estate DSG. I've got one from the April '16 lease deal. That was 6+23 £6400 over the two years.

That seems expensive to me, try ALA or GAP123. mine was £57 approx.

OTR price is now a fair chunk more i believe, due to the new DSG box & other additions the 7.5 gets. Still a great deal you got though.

Never really looked into GAP as feel it's borderline PPI. Any half decent Insurance company would pay fair market value for the car, so why that would be less than the balance outstanding on any finance agreement i don't see, unless the purchaser put zero deposit into the deal. Can understand more for cars going up in value, but most Insurers also offer this within a policy.

Saying all that, NFU offer 2yrs new for old so as long as i'm with them & i don't keep a car longer than 2 years i get better than GAP for free.
