Good stuff! Its a buzz to drive about in.

Still not getting it to fart as much as I'd like to, can you usually hear them with the windows closed?
Definitely can with mine, with the windows open its more of a loud "CRACK"

I can't believe how loud the pops are from a cold start in first gear at 3-4k RPM. It sounds like a machine gun going off.

I’ve found that if you blip the throttle on gear change to ~3800-4000rpm and let off then you get pops and sometimes bangs as it goes down the rpm range. You can induce the bangs at ~3500-3600rpm if you lightly tap the throttle as the revs are dropping – that makes it bang!
You need to be in Cupra mode (or at the least, Cupra mode for engine on the Individual settings) for this to work.

Also, if you take out the rear parcel shelf, the removable boot carpet drop the rear seats, you really hear every snap crackle and pop! I’ll try and get a sound recording at some point and upload it somewhere as it sounds awesome!

Yeah I just let it climb down the revs from 4k to get bangs on the move and below 2.5kish in first gear. Get some serious pops in cupra. I'll need to try the 3500-3600 throttle tap. Still in gear or clutch down?

In gear rather than out.

Loving my Cupra (with the exception of the annoying door seal issue which I am having repaired under warranty). Very enjoyable to drive. Interested to hear about the pops and bangs from the exhaust as I am not really seeing this. Are those that are getting the good noises driving DSG or manual?

Manual here.

Turn the car on, select cupra mode. Make sure it's a cold start. Take the revs to 2.5k/3k and very quickly pop the accelerator down hard and then completely let off. When the revs start to drop, you'll hear loads of pops and bangs. Doing this I seem to get around 4-6 bangs and now and again an extremely loud boom.

Are you finding that it's not sealing around the top of the door frame and the rubber seal? I've noticed a few times that as soon as I open the door after it's rains it drip from the seal onto the seat frame or the sill.

Happens here too, except it seems to land on my head.

Reading about these pops and bangs have got me excited about the drive home from work shortly!

I remember from the review videos, the DSGs were pretty noisy. Are the manuals the same?

Same pops and bangs, but you obviously don't get the DSG fart. Make sure each time you start the car you put it into cupra mode (or select a different mode then back to cupra if you already have it selected).

I think the ST's which have an extra pipe are not the same - my old Golf R hatch would pop/fart/crack all day if I provoked it!

Its the only downside of the ST imo!

Does anyone have a good tip for what to use to clean the white parts of the interior? My drivers side bolster is looking pretty blue from having jeans sitting on it!

I've been using Auto Finesse interior cleaner. Not too sure if it's snake oil but it has been doing the job with a microfibre cloth. Also helps that my rear seats have been used precisely twice biggrin

Lucky you, our kids and their mates have been doing their best to kick the st out of the backs of the front seats of our car. One of the benefits of leasing though is it doesn't actually matter to me that much!

Random question...

Does this car have hill hold? On a manual btw.

I swear the car used to hold its self after applying the brakes on an incline but doesn't seem to be recently.

Either that or was imagining it!
