Someone on the main leasing deals forum is saying that vwfs have increased the rentals on this deal now, needs confirming but if it is correct can I ask permission to wear a smug grin for the next 12-14 weeks until the car is delivered?
That was me. biggrin I've edited my original posts to reflect the price change. Got our quote the other day and credit checked etc. So it's just a case of deciding the colour. 99% sure we're going for monsoon grey, just need the other half to confirm. rolleyeslaugh

Agree that the car configurator is poor when it comes to deciding on colours. The small rectangular boxes (with the variety of colours) underneath the car are fairly representative of the real colour - stick them on the car and they don't look quite the same....

I've been wearing a smug grin for the last 18 months after snagging one of the cheap Golf R deals. I remember someone saying how every time they saw a bog standard red Golf R they just knew it was a leased car like that was a bad thing. I've worn it like a badge of honour "yeah, that's right, i'm paying very little for this quite expensive car".

I'll be doing the same in the Cupra.

Regarding Seats online configurator. Someone on one of the Seat forums pointed out that the image of the ST in dynamic grey is a completely different colour from the 5dr in dynamic grey. Even Seat don't know what colour it is.

Another one here - Gone for a 5dr manual in Monsoon Grey from CVL. (boring colour but am slightly paranoid about it getting nicked after having my bikes and shed done over a few weeks ago)
Funnily enough i was just about to order an Ibiza Cupra from dtd when the Leon deal came up.. the leon is over £30 a month less!
Should be a nice step up from a Citigo with 60 raging horsepower wink

Can anyone answer how long it takes to get the rest of the paperwork through? - i signed and paid the fee to CVL on Weds morning.

Cheers

Well done mate, nice choice!

Not sure about how long it'll take. I signed my paperwork and returned it on Tuesday morning and Keith said to hold tight and he would be in touch.

Approved and signed the CVL paperwork on a 5 door Alor Blue.

Local Seat dealer were less than helpful and didnt make much of an effort to try and match the price (sold me the benefits of paying £460 more to source from them!) so went through CVL.

Also didnt see the 3 door version which I was miffed about but now too late to change. looking forward to getting the rest of the paperwork through and confirmed

I thought this was a great comparison against the white..

I do like that colour , kind of a pastel blue.

I expect paperwork will be the same as my current lease since its also via VWFS. After the initial finance agreement and order form I didn't get anything for 6 months until the car was built, in the country and at the dealers. I had to sign a load of stuff and send proof of identification.

With VW you get a build number where you can check your cars progress online. I wonder if Seat has the same.

Here's a link to press image releases for the Cupra 290:

http://www.seatpress.co.uk/images/model/170/

All of them are high quality images. You can even narrow down image searches by car colour. Should pass the time whilst we await delivery....

Good work my friend!

Keep going back and forth over the colour. I've ordered a monsoon grey ST but really like the silver, white and dynamic grey as well. Oh well, I'm not going to change the order now. If I don't love it I only have to live with it for 2 years.

Great link! I have been questioning my colour choice of Monsoon (hatch) also but having had a look at the official pics in the link I think I made the right choice, I like the way it looks with the black detailing.

I know what you mean. I was thinking the same. They're all nice colours, that's what makes it so hard to decide smile

Out of interest, are any of you guys going to get any accessories from Seat? Think I'll get the rubber floor mats and the boot liner tray thingy for the dog

Probably not me, the last Leon I leased came with a set of mats so with a bit of luck this will too but if not will buy some, about £40 if I remember rightly?

My current leon came with a boot liner, they are brilliant, just take it out and hose it off!!

Not really an accessory but I may fit the side skirts. They can be had cheaper than £410. It all depends on whether i think the car REALLY needs them once I see it. Most of the marketing shot have them fitted which is a bit cheeky.

I might be wrong but doesn't the Black Edition come with the side skirts? Thought I read it somewhere, could be wrong though.

Nice surprise if it does but I'm almost certain they aren't included. They aren't listed as part of the black edition spec in the brochure. They are however listed as part of the sub 8 pack and there is a sub 8 black pack so that might be the source of confusion.

Not that they are needed so to speak but really like the headlight wash on both my cars now, you can't even have it as an option on the black cupra, probably because they are part of the winter pack, the free heated seats will have to compensate
