Just got back from Crewe Seat after placing my order for a Cupra!

I’ve gone for the 5dr Manual in Eclipse Orange and have been given a rough delivery slot of late June/Ealry July. All you guys have really saturated the order books eh?!

Just need to go about the voluntary termination of my PCP deal on my Polo now and work out how much it’s gonna sting me for in June!

New car excitement is the best.

Should probably add figures.

£600 up front, 11k p/a and £285 p/m for 24 months. Pretty good deal just for the low up front, metallic paint was free too!

Spoke to Phil at IMG today and finally seems like we're getting somewhere! Being built this week and will be here late Feb/March. I've asked them to keep hold so I can get an 18 reg clap

Hi, when did you place your order if you don't me asking?

I spoke to Phil 2 weeks ago and still had an unconfirmed build date of week 5 2018. It's now week 5 and I haven't heard anything yet shoot I ordered on 1st September

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on the 5th September and called up a few weeks ago and was told it was unconfirmed week 5. Once it was built it could take up to 3 weeks on the ship to arrive in the UK

I left my deposit 4th September. To be honest Phil told me week five a few weeks ago but said it was unconfirmed and I heard nothing back. It's only when I emailed him he told me it was confirmed and being built this week so probably worth chasing him up I would've said

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago. The lead time is so long that I am just putting it to the back of my mind for a few months!

Wife's car was ordered beginning of September and is being delivered in about 3 weeks. So seems to have been about 6 months for some time now.

Cheers guys, dropped Phil an email and have been told my Cupra has been built and is waiting to be shipped. It will arrive in 3-4 weeks. Gives me enough time to sell my Z. Roll on March!

Going slightly off topic here but you should be able to get your android phone to default to MTP data transfer. If you go into settings, click on 'About Phone', then click on 'Build number' 7 times, it will open up developer options. Go back into settings, scroll to the bottom, go into developer options and look for 'Select USB configuration'. You can then change it to MTP, however I think it is best to do when the phone is not connected to anything and then it should remember it as a default setting.
Thanks for that, I've been manually choosing data transfer every time I plug the USB cable in to my Oneplus One for the last two years...all fixed now.

So, has anyone else seen this? https://www.topgear.com/car-news/hot-hatch/seat-le...

Would you be able to re-negotiate a DSG box onto an existing order (providing it's not already been built)?

That would probably push your order backwards.

I asked a similar question on the Leon forum and a guy who works at a dealer replied stating that although the RRP has been adjusted, manual is still cheaper for seat finance. Plus manual resale values are stronger due to greater demand so this is factored into the monthly cost, keeping the DSG higher. So in short, you can try but its unlikely.

Don't understand this. The DSG is literally free. As in do you want manual or DSG; it's the same price. DSG has a higher residual than manual, also.
