The Cupra (Black) Lease thread
Discussion
Got my quotes earlier this week.
Current monthly payment is £208 for 20k miles but I'm only on 11k at the moment.
Can extend informally at the same rate for 3 months.
£170 for 6 months extension with 20k total mileage.
£240 for 12 months extension with 24k total mileage.
£60 admin to formally extend.
Need to do the maths but think I'll take the 6 month option and pay for any excess miles....unless a good lease deal on something else comes up soon.

Picking up Cupra 300 later this week! Can't wait!
First car on lease hire... is it worth getting GAP insurance??
Yes - I researched a fair bit and found both the service and pricing at www.totallossgap.co.uk to be excellentFirst car on lease hire... is it worth getting GAP insurance??
Regarding creaking front suspension... our 67 plate 300 ST manual developed this after about 300 miles!
Took it to the dealer, was diagnosed as under-lubricated bushes when built. They re-greased under warranty. Problem went away... until a couple of weeks ago (5000 miles) when it returned with a vengeance (creaking on bumps, when turning, speed bumps etc). SEAT have now said it needs various new bushes in the front suspension
Not impressed! I’m not particularly gelling with the car anyway, and this certainly doesn’t help...

i had a similar thing with an astra. Replacing the bushes every 6 months under warranty. If the dealer can do pick up drop off then it should cause no issues.Took it to the dealer, was diagnosed as under-lubricated bushes when built. They re-greased under warranty. Hi Not been on for a while.
My Lease ends in Oct and it looks like I am going to need new tyres before the car goes back!!
Just been looking online and prices for tyres seem to be about £150 for Conti Sports.
Has anyone handed there car back recently and what kind of condition were your tyres in, also do I need to get the same brand, I think I will need a "Premium" brand but not sure which ones.
Any help would be nice. Thx

What's the best current price for a 300? Was going for something else when my 290BE goes back, but a new house purchase has dictated that I know exactly what my car will cost me over the next 24 months.
Havent seen anything better than the IMG Warrington deal - £289, 1+23, 8k PA, £180 fee....your local dealer may match.Had mine through this week.
Current deal is £233 pm (on a 1+23) 5k mileage.
Currently done 7.5k miles & due back in Nov.
Quote for 6 months is £187.15 pm
Quote for 12 months is £230.32
Weighing up cost v benefits as I will presumably have to pay for the 2nd year service plus possibly new tyres and maybe brakes.
Doesn't look like any comparable deals around, and the waiting times are horrendous 30 weeks or so for new Cupra or Polo GTI.

Got quotes to extend our 290 Black through today. Currently paying £132 per month for a 5k per annum deal which is due to end in mid-November. Mileage is currently 11k so we are looking at about £300 of excess mileage charges if we hand it back as planned.
6 Month extension for a total of 17k miles is £202 per month which seems reasonable taking into account the above
12 Month extension for a total of 20k is £250 per month so have dismissed this option straight off.
So gut feeling is to take the 6 month as it seems decent value, we like the car and it will give us plenty of time to choose a replacement. Just need to consider the overall cost factoring in the two tyres and second service that will be needed as this may skew things towards getting something new and shiny.

What did you put down to get the monthly to £132?!
Asked for a quote today as I’m 6 months and a day away from the hand back date.
Car is on about 10500 miles so 6 months extra on 18k miles and 22k miles for 12 months. We are paying £249 on 1+23 for 10k miles pa.
The quotes above seem very cheap to me especially over 6 months.
