Hi mate,
Mine did the same so I went into Lookers Stockport and said my car is on a long life service and therefore it shouldn't require a service for 2 years. They agreed, so agreed to hook my car up and removed the message for me. I didn't pay anything so maybe I was fortunate on this occasion?

My car was put onto fixed servicing (every 10k miles / 12 months) by the supplying dealer, IMG, before I collected it.
3 months later, I've hit 9500 miles and booked in for the service. I went in last Thursday, and whilst sat down I asked if they could use longlife oil (and move me onto longlife servicing), because of the mileage I do. They said no problem, and there's no need to have my car serviced today. The same oil is now used regardless of service schedule. They reset the service indicator for me, and sent me on my way.

Just been offered a 300 DSG for December delivery on a 1+23 at £284. A good price and means I don't need a second set of tyres or brakes. I'll post the details in here if the detail actually materialises; waiting on finance documents.
Please do mate as I would be interested in that. I recall that if i added DSG to my old 290 black deal (£249 1+23 and 10k) it would have added approximately £30 per month to the total so your deal sounds just as good as the previous deals on the Cupra.Edited by Jonno02 on Wednesday 4th July 10:07
Is yours based on 10k miles?

Sorry should have mentioned it's on 8k. With the increase in first year tax and that it's a DSG, I'm still not complaining. I'll miss the heated buckets though. Is yours based on 10k miles?

Here's the deal I've managed to get. Please contact Jade directly through the email here, as she's the one that's sorted out the price listed, after an hour or two of haggling. She's also extremely quick at replying if you want to change mileage/payment etc.

Seat LEON HATCHBACK 2.0 TSI Cupra 300 5dr DSG [2018]
Metallic paint
1+23
8,000 miles per
£283.99 Inc Vat
Admin fee £100 inc vat.
Their official deal was £321.99 Inc vat and an admin fee of £198. So quite a saving, they have batch ordered cars, so I imagine limited availability. I have been given a delivery date of December.
Colours available:
· Mystery Blue
· Black Magic
· Monsoon Grey
If you're feeling generous, you could always mention that Jonny referred you onto her, as they will provide a 'referral reward.'

Hi mate,
Thanks for this, I'll certainly drop an email across as my thinking is that it's only £30 more expensive than what I currently pay, but you do get DSG which is a nice to have, plus, if I extended my current deal for 12 months, I'd certainly need to service it and replace the tyres which I would possibly avoid buy swapping to this deal.
Hmmm....
Thanks again, C.

What are we all paying for first service? I've been quoted £189 which sounds about right for a main dealer service but obviously ridiculously expensive when all they're doing is changing the oil. They want £12 for a courtesy car as well!
I'm going to phone another couple of dealers tomorrow for quotes and see if I can get the car switched to long life service as it's only done 8500 miles since August.

I'm in exactly the same boat. Quoted £189 though they pick car up and drop it back off FOC. Mines on similar miles so over next few days I'm going to see if I can get it switched to long life. Seems crazy early to be servicing a modern car. @Jonno - have you heard back from Jade?
I sent her a couple of emails, one which she responded to (saying she was out of the office on Monday just gone - back in on Tuesday) but not heard back from her?
Thanks, C.

I believe I got the same email as my prices are a lot higher than Jonno's and the chap justified this by saying Jonno was an existing customer of theirs. Can I ask if that is the case Jonno?
Clearly you've got a very good deal, but I'm just trying to weigh up if they're chancing their arm due to huge response this got on the back of your quotation and inflating the price.
Thanks, C.

I am an existing customer of theirs. I did ask Jade if I was allowed to post the final quoted price I was given, including the reduction in admin fee. She said she would appreciate if I did, as I imagine they had a few cars to shift. I think there was overwhelming interest and after seeing the demand at which point they probably decided to up the price a bit.Clearly you've got a very good deal, but I'm just trying to weigh up if they're chancing their arm due to huge response this got on the back of your quotation and inflating the price.

Hi Chaps,
I've had my leasing extension quote through from VWFS based on an extension of 1 year.
I'm currently on 10k miles and the quotation is based on a maximum of 20k miles (so the same as the original 2 year term @ 10k miles per annum.)
So 10k miles to last me through until December next year so essentially 16.5 months. Hmmm...
Quote is £199.22 per month after my 2 year terms ceases during December this year.
Pros:
It's a great car
Prices comes down £50 a month
Not many other lease deals around where you could get a similar car for the money.
Cons:
1.5 year old car
Tyres, brakes and servicing will need to be done soon - Approximate cost around £500.
£60 admin fee to change the lease.
Anything else I'm not considering?
What do you guys think?
In terms of the deal back from Jonno's contacts, a new Cupra (would be a 290, not 300) they offered:
Cupra 290 (monsoon grey, nevada white or urban silver)
5 door
DSG
1 + 23 @ £295 (inc VAT)
8k miles per annum
Broker fee of £198
Lead time Oct/Nov
Thanks, C.

I've had my extension come through for another year
15k total contract mileage same 8p excess charge.
rentals go down from 233.99 to 216.36
I'm going to extend - even factoring in the cost of a service and (possibly) a set of fronts there are no deals out there that come close to what we have with these cupras.

Mine is due back in November/December. I've had a few missed calls from some lovely polite sounding lady from VWFS so I should really call her back for a chat.15k total contract mileage same 8p excess charge.

I had previously read comments saying peoples monthlies had been quoted upwards for extending so that's interesting yours are going down. In saying that, I'm 90% certain I'll be sending mine back anyway. It's been a decent enough car with no major flaws and zero faults.
