Nothing on the tracker for me yet.

I to was looking more on the sensible side of things, i.e. a GTD estate, but decided to wait for the Q4 prices. Glad I did.

I've driven an R and GTD but not the GTi, got to leave something for the surprise when it turns up...

Build Week 50 won't make a December delivery. Looking like January then.
At least we will get any goodies added from BW45

cvl offered gap at £190 for 24 months.
after a bit of searching i'll be going with ala .Decided £15000 on 36 months (an extra £30 over 24 months) just in case the lease runs over and covered £2k of deposit.
a much better deal at £179.

Don't forget to use the pistonheads discount code, PISTON12 I think.

Good thinking with doing it for 36 months, didn't consider that myself.

That's interesting, what goodies are you hoping to see?

I would've liked to have added App Connect, but apparently that would've pushed the delivery date back. I'm sure I can live without it for 2 years.
I might have this wrong but I read somewhere that App Connect could be added as dealer "retrofit" (presumambly because it is just software?). Think they said £200 or £300 for that rather than the £125 factory option cost. Might be worth a chat with your local dealer when you get the car.

Could be anything or nothing for the run out of old stock before the face lift. Hopefully they will confirm soon.

£200-£300 is downright thievery for a simple software feature activation! £125 I could just about live with smile

Thanks for the discount code tip. Will probably get GAP but can't see why I would need more than 10k cover plus 2k initial rental.
5k would cover the rental and surely 5k the difference between the VW valuation and insurance company valuation if written off.

First time for me so correct me if I have missed something here..

thanks for code. another £20 off

taken £15k as it covers any rentals owing plus difference if car written off. Write it off in first few months and you'll be glad you insured your deposit if like me you're paying £2400. By year 2 or 3 , £5k isn't going to cover the written off difference on payout from your insurer to the cars £27k value.

Surely if you wrote it off toward the end of the contract VW would want their resale value back not the original £27k and therefore 5k should cover the difference?

After a little search on here I couldn't find a thread for just the GTi's so thought I'd start one given the recent crazy low lease deals that have now been stopped.

I managed to get in early so have the current deal with CVL,

£2400 down
23 x £95
24 months
5000 miles per anum
7.2p per mile excess

Went for a standard spec in manual and white. Was tempted by the larger discovery system and optional wheels but for the sake of keeping the monthlys low I didn't bother.

Received my SIL number but nothing registered on the tracking site yet, not that I was expecting it to be at this early phase.

First dip in to leasing for me, it will be interesting to here others experiences who are in the same boat.

Back to the waiting.

Same offer as me but I got in once the mileage rate was upped to 10.9p. Bit gutted but as i'll only be doing 6-7k a year it wasn't a deal breaker. No tracking numbers yet but CVL have told me they are taking the admin fee today or tomorrow so im hoping for something towards the end of the week.

.....I have specced the climate comfort windscreen..... I used to have a mondeo and I have missed the benefit on many a frosty Cumbrian morning.

£2400 down
£152 per month
10k miles

Without the heated windscreen it was £141.... I reckon those extra minutes in bed are worth £11 per month.

Amortised to £245 per month
Has anyone else got a quote for the climate windscreen? My wife would like this adding to her GTI but I was told by a broker that it could only be spec'd with the advanced telephone prep at another £320. This added over £600 to the lease - which is significantly more than £11/month quoted above.

It's not a bad deal but many have same with £95pcm after the upfront payment
