but I should hear sound so that I can pull over if I need to
on my company vehicle (Another VW) and my bmw I get notification sounds on both when attached to bluetooth
I reckon it's because the iPhone is trying to route the notification sounds via the A2DP Bluetooth audio connection. So if you were playing music through your iPhone to the car over Bluetooth you would hear the notification sounds come through on the car speakers, but you wouldn't hear them if listening to radio or another media source. I'm sure my GTD did that but my BMW doesn't since it hasn't got a Bluetooth audio connection on my company vehicle (Another VW) and my bmw I get notification sounds on both when attached to bluetooth

You are probably best at just doing a lease deals search on google or trying the brokers most of us on here used, central vehicle leasing or national vehicle leasing.
A word about CVL, they are good up until the point where they have your money and then it's hard to get any replies out of them. That being said I am happy with my deal, they just need to work on there customer after sales.

Completely agree. The complete unknowns of leasing commands and VW wa the main reason I had always bought my cars outright. After dealing with CVL and VW (neither very good) I am happy enough to buy used and take the risk of breakdowns / no warranty if it means I don't get stupid calls from VW, mistakes from CVL and generally all round crap service. Give VW their credit, they weee quick enough to resolve the issues and gave me a partial refund of goodwill for their cockups.A word about CVL, they are good up until the point where they have your money and then it's hard to get any replies out of them. Been offered a fairly good deal, or what I think is a good deal;
Golf GTI 5 door DSG metallic black
8k miles PA
9+23 @ £220inc VAT
What do you guys think of that?
I was going to wait for the new shape but can imagine deals being at least £100 more than that PM.
Who is this with buddy?? I have a fella at work who is keen on one.Golf GTI 5 door DSG metallic black

Sorry for the late response. Many thanks
Spoke to a chap called Graham at Hub Leasing. Extremely helpful and really competitive. I think he had 1 GTI (Red, 5Dr, Auto) left when I secured mine.
Taking delivery on the 10th. I cannot bloody wait!!
Wife's new car arrived on Friday:
The car was ordered through CVL in October. It was one of their special offer deals. (£252/month on a 1+23 with 10K miles pa). It has been ready for delivery since the end of December but her existing lease didn't end until March. Dealer kindly agreed to delay delivery of the new car. Bonus is that it was registered on a 17 plate last week.
I clocked up 250 miles over the weekend. First impressions are excellent! I will be looking for opportunities to drive it more.
