I used Fleetprices.co.uk for my current lease on an Octavia vRS and I would use them again as the Octy is due to be returned in the next few months. Currently tempted by their offer on Golf GTi 5 door at

Annual mileage : 10000
35 monthly rentals of : £278.33
Initial rental: £834.98
Processing fee : £298.80

  • Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT

VW told me it depends on how you drive the car...!
Only if it's on the Longlife regime, which is the default setting from the factory.

If it's Time & Distance, it simply a mileage / calendar countdown.

I’ve just had a new VW Arteon through Fleetprices. It actually came from Marshall’s VW Newbury, I’d be inclined to give them a call to see if they can match the price, you’ll then save the fee.

Thanks gents.

Must admit I haven't tried my local dealer yet, as I have only just started looking but i will certainly give them a call if mine don't want to match.

Are the deals better if it's on a stock vehicle?

It’s not necessarily the case that your local dealer will match, but given that Fleetprices seem to source through Marshall’s, it’s those that I’d call. By all means try your local dealer though.

After 19k the original potenzas were shot; about 2mm remaining but couldn’t get any traction in the slightest of damp conditions.

Whilst £20 more per tyre than the same potenzas I’ve gone for Michelin PS4. Time will tell if any better than the stock rubber but now scrubbed in they seem far better although that judgement could be masked by the worn out set they replaced.

Tires are still not bad on mine but I’ve done just over half your mileage on 11k. Might swap fronts and rears over before the spring hits. Should get by on what depth I have left as is only likely to get 1k miles at most between now and hand back time.

I must say I can’t complain at the car at all really, to the point where if a decent deal on a R estate comes up around handback time I may go for that. Shame they didn’t do a GTi estate, although I suppose the extra weight might ruin the speed and handling with the standard GTi setup.

Replaced all 4 tyres last week for Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 3.
Definitely more grip, noticeably better ride and my commute mpg has risen from 32.5 to 38.
A combination of cashback, goodyear offer and an amazon gift card meant a total of £286 fitted , through Protyre.

My wife’s GTI has done 18k and although the front tyres still had 3-4 mm I had them changed last week and also opted for Goodyear Eagle Assymetric 3. Only used it for running about on short journeys but feels much better grip and less tyre noise.

Just to give people an idea of mileage amendments, I’m coming up to 8 months left on my lease. I’m on 10k a year deal but will most likely hit 30k total by return. I rang VW finance 3 times over the last month to get a quote furious

They’ve now just got back to me at an extra £109 a month for an extra 10k over the term. Hmmmm. Pay the 7.2ppm or the extra £109x8. scratchchin

I was thinking of asking them about extending also, not a bad price it seems.

I find it quite difficult to believe that a tyre change could have such a significant effect on fuel economy

Just over £1500 for a years motoring. Crazy cheap. Have you worked out what it’s now amortising to with the additional 12 months?

Just called VWFS and in their t&c's of the quote they mentioned the quote can be any percentage higher but only upto 20% cheaper than what we pay now.

Term is 6*23 with current monthlies of £205.00 for 9k a year.
Asked for an extra 5k for the additional year as I have over 5k left for the remaining 6 months of the two year deal.

Shall post up the quote when received.
