Great if you are purchasing maybe, not on a lease though even at knockdown if it were me. You pay your money and take your choice though.
I can't remember what the best deals were, but that's roughly a 9+23, coming out at £12864Depends if that's inc VAT, obviously, but that looks a decent price even for a poverty spec car in the current market. Admittedly you lose the fun of speccing it yourself...

Includes vat just not sure on the grey although if I want an s5 and am currently without a car I maybe can't be that picky.
Go for the grey - but I would say that! My B8 S4 is Daytona grey and I'm very happy with that choice. Can look a little 'meh' when dirty, but so can most colours. silentbrown said:

Looks nice that. This s5 coupe has black leather btw
I do like the grey. Saw one with red leather, very smart indeed.Edited by IJB1959 on Saturday 22 July 09:40
I did look at placing a factory order for a SB but the current wait is 20 weeks and thats without taking into account the fact that production is suspended currently. Plus, the lease rates currently mean a SB with nav blue, flat wheel, extended LED and privacy comes out at 423 a month.
With the grey coupe i can be in the car within three weeks maximum so it kinda makes sense.
As my old man said 'dont let the thieving bas**rds win'
I'm starting to get the outbound lease car ready in anticipation of the S5's arrival.
Has anyone returned a car with kerbed diamond cut wheels to Audi on contract hire (outside of fair wear and tear) and did you have your pants pulled down? Lease is direct from Audi. I can get these refurbed myself but looking at over £100 a corner.
Sometimes it's cheaper to get charged by the lease company(I know BMW Financial Services charge about £30 and Alphabet charge £60!).
Thanks

I returned a leased Land Rover after 4 years and was in an excellent condition apart from the 2 front wheels the wife kerbed on a regular basis. They charged me £120.00 which I thought was fair. As I understand it, these costs are governed and fixed by BVRLA. VWFS charge £36 a corner IIRC on both VW and Skoda so that will probably be the case with Audi. One thing I do like about VWFS is they get the BVRLA to inspect the car a week before it goes back and then you have a piece of paper with what is wrong with it. Other leases I know of go back and they don't see anything on collection then come out with all sorts of c*** when it gets back to them when you have not method of defending yourself.
If with Audi it's £36 per wheel as Tom says then you cannot argue with that (for Scuffs totalling over 50mm of the total circumference of the wheel that is).Took delivery today
Just a couple of 15-20 mile runs so far, but very pleased indeed.
I did a dynamic mode 'fly by' of our business unit while a colleague watched/listened... immature, but in my defense it's an industrial estate and the road was totally deserted. I have no idea what it sounded like from his perspective, but it feels so much quicker and sounds so, so much better than the 640d it replaced. Even my daughter, who couldn't give two hoots about cars, thinks it sounds amazing.
It really is tempting to leave it in dynamic the whole time but I'll try to resist. When it was delivered from Doncaster (to S. Wales) it was averaging 38mpg. After my first eight miles it was down at 22...
Early days obviously, but it's very comfortable and surprisingly quiet on a decent road. Unfortunately, most of the roads around here are ste, but at least they're nice and twisty
Spending the day at home tomorrow, so will set up Audi connect and have a play with the toys!
Only the one photo...

Congrats mate looks mighty fine! I found the noise one of the best things. Take some anti theft measures and get GAP!Just a couple of 15-20 mile runs so far, but very pleased indeed.

Bought the Gap this afternoon (almost forgot). Dash cam set up and ready to fit. Installing four cctv cameras tomorrow Was even wondering about a steering wheel lock, but it would probably just spend it's life in the rear footwell...Look forward to a mini review soon!
I noticed that there was no ash tray. I didn't delete the smoker pack so assumed I'd get one... I don't smoke but could be handy for receipts. Did anyone else get one?
PS: this is the first car I'm going to try and be a bit of a Statto about. I'm using an app called Drivvo which makes it very easy to track fuel costs and visualise them over time as graphs. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to be nerdy about the S5 experience for the next two years.
Make me an offer?

How's everyone getting on with their outstanding orders?
I placed an order for a SB S5 on 29 April and I still don't have an estimated build date. The online tracker doesn't yet recognise my order number. Gone back to dealer to ask but wanted to see what everyone else's current experiences are.
Ordered second week April and it was delivered to Carlisle 3 weeks ago. Collecting it Sunday and can't wait, sorry to rub it in! Mine is a coupe though. Not really sure what will happen with my S5 SB, I ordered end of June, build date is August 20th and the dealer hopes to have it at theirs by last week of September......won't hold my breath unless it's missed all the production upsets Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
