Stupid question but do the indicators at the back have the fancy start from inside and go out feature as standard on the s4/s5?

Hey guys, can I just check there aren't any zero cost options I should have specced?

A friend told me how he bought a 330d but didn't tick the no cost option for folding rear seats. Net result - yeah, he went to B&Q and when loading the car found the rear seats were fixed/welded/immovable.
I don't think so. There are a few near zero (in comparison to the cost of the lease) options such as the flat bottomed wheel, hill hold and the fancy coloured LEDs inside.

As I understand it: dynamic ("sweeping") indicators are standard at the rear only on S5 and A5 S-Line, and for dynamic fronts as well you need Matrix LED headlights (or the Light and Vision Pack which includes them).

Well, had confirmation from FS today that my SB is available for delivery as of Monday.

Arranged for Tuesday PM delivery to my office (via trailer). Have online quotes from WBAC, Sizzle and Evans Halshaw for my A7 and as a result have an apt sorted for 10 o/c Tuesday AM to hopefully offload there and then. (For info EH have "quoted" an offer £2675 more than WBAC for the A7).

Also, tried to remove the TDi tuning box from the 7 but the connector by the turbo inlet wouldn't budge, and I broke the clip trying to remove, so have had to leave it on the car - brucey bonus for the next owner..

Private Rey already assigned and on the SB, no cost.

So all being well should be driving home from work in it next Tuesday - finally!!

spec wise it's:
Nav Blue, rotor grey
B&O
Folding mirrors
VC
Flat wheel
Hill Hold
Privacy glass

Final figures were £2760 down + 23 @ £450/month, no fee.

I would think you would be OK, the parcel shelf comes out and the bit that covers the back of the glass looks like it does too
Excellent... Cheers TomScrut smile

Excellent, sounds worth the wait.
I found wewantanycar were best when moving on a good condition 3yo Audi in the past, don't know if you tried them?

Did you ever have any issues with the tdi tuning box? Did the dealer ever question it when in for servicing etc?

Does anyone have a Misano red coupe with grey interior, even just external shots of a red coupe in real life? Considering changing my order from brilliant black.

Never had any issues. Installed it when I got the car and it stayed on for 2 years, during which I had 2 services and 1 recall. It was a TDi tuning twin channel unit. It certainly helped eliminate the initial flat/dead spot in the BitDi.

I also have a Kaufatek active exhaust enhancer unit plugged into the car (in the inner right boot access compartment), its 100% noticeable, esp on initial power up (it "revs") and never disabled this either, again no issues at all - other than a wry smile from the Service Manager on collection laugh. HTH.

You might want to give tootle.co.uk or wizzle.co.uk a go. Haven't tried them myself yet...

Drove the S5 this morning and loved it. After three large turbo-diesels, it was a lovely change. Interestingly, the demo/sales manager's car had 4800 miles on it with an average over that time of 32mpg... some commute and long trips, but surely a lot of 'enthusiastic' driving too.

I listened to the standard sound system in an A5 Sportback (which I was told is the same as the standard system in the S5) and then to the B&O system in an S5 Coupe and there really was no comparison, so that's been added to my options list.

I also liked the flat bottomed steering wheel.... a little odd when 'feeding' the wheel, but I'm sure I'll get used to it and it looks great. So that's added too.

As most people seem to agree, virtual cockpit is a no-brainer for £250.

Really want rear cup holders. My last two cars haven't had them and it really annoys my children, which therefore irritates me... so another £175. Nuts, but hey-ho.

I was a passenger in an A8 with Matrix LED headlights a while ago and was rather impressed... if I get the light & vision pack, they're effectively 'only' £500 (well... £750, but I'd be spending £250 on the VC anyway) with the enhanced interior LED lighting 'thrown' in. So I've ticked that instead of the VC.

I think I'll miss the 360deg view, reversing camera, comfort access, sunroof and HUD... but they are all ridiculously expensive.

So... That's £1775 in options on a lease car, which seems a little daft but life's short.

My thinking is that the car will still cost me notably less per year than the finance/tax/MOT/servicing/warranty on my 640d GC over the same length of time... in man-maths terms, it makes complete sense smile

If anyone who's lived with an S5 for a few months has a strong opinion on the Matrix lights, or indeed any of the other options, it would be good to know before I press the button.

I nearly added them but made up my mind too late. Luckily I don't regret not getting them as the auto dip and the standard lights are very very good

Also, was anyone else surprised when they found out it only needs oil change/servicing just before it goes back?

Depending on driving I'd expect it to ask for an oil change well before 19K miles. My S4 was on about 15K, I think

I'd just get the full service done at that point, otherwise you'll need that at 19K/two years as well.

Yeah as long as it goes more than half way (I.e. I only need to fork out once) I don't care!

Don't know if you've sold a car through these companies before, but i got a quote online then went to the unit for inspection (luckily in the same town where i live) the guy couldn't find any faults and agreed to pay the quoted price. Had to wait 4 days for the bank transfer ( to save a fee) and you have to give them the car before the money arrives (little bit scary), but hassle free and worth it. (They offered 2k more than Audi 14k vs 12k for a A4 TDI 3 year old 20k miles).
Anyway back on topic, was thinking of cancelling my order, but changed my mind despite being told there might not be any fee.

I do really like the blue. Wish I had chosen that colour now, and also as I'm now fed up by having to clean a black car far to often. rage

As the nights are getting lighter I've haven't had the lights on that much but the first time I tried them I was very impressed how quickly they react around oncoming traffic and cars directly in front of you, I thought that I would be turning them off so as not to blind people but they do work really well. So yes I definitely recommend the light and vision pack as it does save a bit of money, however I also recommend the HUD but it's a bit annoying that you have to either pay full price for the matrix lights or HUD as they are separate packs with both having the VC, wish they had a pack that included both for a higher, sort of a light and vision pack plus. If you've got the HUD on the 640 then you'd miss it if you don't spec it. We've got the HUD on the Mini which is very dim in comparison to the Audi.
