For those chaps with a S5 coupe having a problem with the seat belt feeders, and the door glass closing issue, polishdominator published a link from another Audi S5 forum on the S5 feedback thread that I think you must read before going to the dealer to have it looked at!!

I only had the seat belt feeder problem and my local dealer had my car for a week trying to figure it out. At first they even queried why I thought the seat belt would be presented to me as the car doesn't have this feature! They hadn't seen a B9 coupe before (they are a service only operation). They got onto to Audi who provided them with some coding which got it to work but they did say that any software updates would wipe it but hopefully that Audi were working on a permanent fix/code.

Is the seatbelt feeder only for the coupe? Looks like the mechanism goes backwards into where the Sportback's rear doors are.

When mine was delivered the driver and passenger side seatbelt feeders were working fine, then a month or so later the driver side stopped functioning. Although annoying it wasn't sufficiently so for me to arrange a visit to the dealership. Then, a few days ago, I adjusted the seat slightly (moved it forwards and lowered it) and the feeder started working again.

Perhaps the feeder only activates if the seat is in certain position (i.e. If too far back perhaps the system decides that it's unnecessary).

Quick Audi Connect question for those that have their cars already -

The delivery driver from JCT Audi called today ahead of tomorrow's PM delivery (via trailer).

I asked him to confirm he would have both keys and the plastic fob with the scratch off Audi Connect code so I can activate Connect Services (which is how I thought it worked), but he knew nothing of this and said he def had 2 keys but no plastic wallet key or code.

I explained what I thought and he was going to ask fleet to see if he was missing anything.

Have I lost the plot or what should I expect to receive key/code wise on delivery?
It should be with the keys but mine wasnt and I know a few other people on here never had theirs. I had to go back to Sheffield Audi and complain. They reached out to the factory and got another plastic fob sent. I received it 2 weeks after complaining the fob was missing. Melissa at Fleet Services went above and beyond again.
Thanks Simon - car has arrived now and I have the plastic fob & 2 keys, so all good wink

Good, glad a simple code fixed it. I put the notice up as buy judging by what happened to the other forum guy, don't let them do a complete new software update to fix it as it bricked his car, and as there have been a few posts on here regarding the feeder and the door glass not closing properly. Forewarned is forearmed so to speak.

Had my sportback finally delivered yesterday and will he off to detailers next week. As I asked them not to clean, it looked filthy. It came in an open top trailer so lucky i didnt ask audi to clean as it would have ended up filthy after being on the road for 1.5 hours from sheffield.

Overall - the nav blue looks stunning. It just 'feels' a little incomplete until it gets a proper detail.

A number of people on the forum have mentioned how the sound feels a little muted. In dynamic it sounds anything but!! Infact, it sounds a heck of a lot louder than the demo S5 coupe i drove back in Jan, and im quite sure i had left that dynamic. Although i havent quite heard as many popping and crackling sounds...i assume that will come as the car gets more miles on the clock. It came with 25.

MPG is terrible. Averaging around 12mpg right now...but that was just a quick 10 min drive here amd there so will no doubt get a more accurate figure in time

Either way, so far so good....just want to finish work so i can drive the car home.…!

I have had my SB for 2 weeks now, overall really impressed with the cars ability its not a sports car by any means but its a multi talented car capable of great pace and its road holding is going to be superb in all weathers i'm sure, i got a black, with red leather, love the combo but black is going to be hard to keep clean (as everyone mentions), got VC which is a must i think, reversing camera also so convenient, folding mirrors not great as i cant get them to fold automatically when locking the car, privacy glass, wouldn't have it without makes the back end of the car,Flat bottom steering wheel also a no brainer not functional but looks better, would of had the B&O if i was ordering again find the standard system a bit gutless, love the sound it makes if a little muted most of the time, MPG is low i am averaging around 20 which is lower than i expected, got Hankooks on mine so much better then continentals, had them for years on Mercs and never liked them.
My car hasn't arrived yet but I also chose the folding mirrors. I would have thought they should fold when you lock the car, and it is why I paid for the option. My friend has previous generation a5 sportback and new a4 saloon - and they both include this option. Would have thought the s5 also had that function...
No need to go the dealers for the auto folding mirrors when you lock the car. You can change it on the MMI. Go into car, vehicle settings, central locking, then if you select fold mirrors they should automatically fold when you lock the doors.

Congratulations on the new car.
I have driven my car solely in dynamic since I had it (I don't think that there is any point in driving in any of the other modes) and I personally do feel it sounds more than a little muted, don't get me wrong it still sounds fine, But definitely muted in my opinion.
Interestingly a couple of friends have commented on how nice it sounds from the outside, and just today I was in the car, on the phone to my father and when I put my foot down to overtake he asking what car I was driving and he thought it sounded really good in the background.

BW14 - Tracker still says car is at Emden.

Spoke to Audi who say the car has been in the U.K for 2 days and is waiting for transport!

Don't trust the tracker!

Hoping to get it by next Friday as my Golf GTD goes back next Thursday.

Was it you that had the same BW as me and our cars were in QC for the same time then released the same day?
I hope so as mine still says "Your Audi has left Ingolstadt", and I'm hoping it's with yours in the U.K. Awaiting pick up. I was busy yday and my contact at dealership wasn't there today so I didn't check with her...

I used the online chat form on the Audi site, they are quite efficient.

My dealer contact says he's contacted the transport company and is awaiting a date.

My car was going to Grimsby. Could be different if yours is going elsewhere.

My S4 is awaiting the transport to the UK too from BW15. According to my dealer they have a hell of a lot of cars waiting there to be shipped so I think we are all in the same...well you get the idea.

According to Your Audi it's still at status 30 so I agree it's a bit of a fibber at times.

I love the sound of mine. No it's no AMG with the amount of noise it makes but I think it is well suited to the style of car it is. Purposeful noise while not being too showy. The thing is if it was to be noisier inside it would probably be down to fake noise and I would rather it be how it is.

On the note of fake noise I think the soundaktor or whatever it is is a lot more discreet, or realistic, than in the Golf. I have found a device that looks like it could be it but not sure. I meant to look on ETKA to see if it looked the same. Kind of looks like I remember seeing on there but the bracket doesn't look very hefty (for something that's meant to vibrate) and it looks smaller than I thought but I aren't sure what it is otherwise unless it's the beeper or something for the alarm.

All ordered. Very, very happy. I don't generally 'do' excited, but September (optimistic??) can't come quickly enough!

I think my problem is going to be keeping away from the Best Least Deals thread...
I'm in the same boat as you...ordered last week for Sept delivery! And I keep coming back to this thread to further torture myself...
I'm on a planned September delivery too, ordered 3 weeks ago. That excitement still hasn't subsided.

I haven't had a build week allocated on the tracker yet, so interested to see when either of yours get a build slot.
