I contacted VWFS on the 24th by email confirming I wished to assign a cherished registration and only received a response today asking me what the original or current registration is.

Does anyone else think that waiting nearly two weeks for a reply is a bit out of order when they are charging me £50 'Admin Fee' and essentially taking forever to get the finger out. Worth mentioning to them I am not happy or a lost cause?
I sent them an emailed complaint (see above post) over 3 weeks ago....they never bothered to respond. So, in reply we must be 'the lost causes' you mention according to VWFS. If a lease payment was late then all hell would break loose I'm sure, and they would charge you a fat admin fee in punishment. TBH, next time round I will be looking at leasing a Macan Turbo and NOT another Audi for sure (as much as I like the S5, but not VWFS).

I emailed my request for private plate assignment yesterday afternoon and called them shortly after to make sure they had received the request. They checked and I then asked if they could try to expedite the transfer for tomorrow so I could visit the dealer on my day off to fit the plates. They confirmed they would sort it out within 24-48h.

I received an email earlier this afternoon saying everything was done and the assignment was complete. So in short it can definitely be done much more quickly than the timescale they quote. I would give them a call tomorrow to see what can be done - if not a refund the very least is they could expedite the assignment process for completion tomorrow.

I requested purchase price on Friday, had to wait until it's 3 months before end of the contract, so couldn't ask earlier. Was told it will take 24h. No email on Monday, called again, then heard 24-48h. Well, it's past 48h and no email with price. Will have to call again tomorrow. It's a bit of a hassle, since you have to go through couple of teams to be told the special team will contact you with the price.

I would not email them and wait for anything, the best way of contact is to call.

Have to update, just got email with purchase price sent at 13.29. I guess VWFS servers had backlog of emails ;-)

As with most things nowadays, email is the slow way to get answers, phoning them is how to get them on it right away.

Can you not get a quote online with Audi? You can with VW.

No, have another option without VWFS.

Picked up the car yesterday.

I work in IT so consider myself as someone who has more than 1 brain cell, but Jesus Christ is this car complicated.

First impressions are good, love the hill hold but i find that when i come of the brakes cars behind start creeping as they think the car is going to move, so was abit scared of getting rear ended.

Also on the way to work a guy with one of those grass trimmers fired up nearby, no issues just shut the window. However that doesn't stop a mini stone bouncing off my bonnet!

Was initially thinking the B&O was a waste but after a fiddle with the settings i have determined it's great.

Still need to get the Audi app working and figure out why the wing mirrors don't close when i lock the car, and passenger mirror dipping when i reverse works when it wants. It did it yesterday but cant remember if it was the same key i used.

Not for fleet or maybe PCH in general. These S8 deals were put through business department and everytime I contacted VWFS, I was transfered to them.

Online it says: "We were unable to calculate an online quotation". Quote came from BCA.

Its the shape of the lights from the side or 3/4 view that just dont look as nice IMO, and as you say the A5/S5 is more chunky.
The S5 is a coupe, therefore lower/shorter than the A4. As it is "less tall", it looks wider.

Yes but its the shape of the lights that are my biggest beef on the A4, they just don't quite look right (the bit on the boot, not on the corners)

The A5 does also have a wider track than the A4 anyway, a change they made on the B9 I believe (the B8/8.5 A5 is identical track to the B8/8.5 A4 IIRC)

I've got an s4 lease with VW and have realised that the 10k per annum isn't going to suffice.

I know with the old 6p + VAT a lot of people got half price for additional miles. Has anyone tried it with an S4/S5 lease?

So that would be the 12.98p + VAT so talking about ~£750 for 10k miles and a £60 admin fee.

Nope but I will be doing so when it hits a year old!

My S5 Sportback has had a recurring issue with drive system fault engine light warning and car going into limp mode, car was with dealership for 2 weeks and car given back to me, the same problem surfaced again and the car has now been with the dealership another week.

Im pretty annoyed about this as they don't seem to know how to go about fixing the issue, they are waiting for Audi HQ to get back to them but have given me no ETA on how long this would take.

I've lodged a complaint with Audi Customer Service but that can take 4-8 weeks, tried calling Audi finance, again not much they can do.

Anyone know where I stand with this, car is barely 4 months old with almost 4k miles on the clock.

Yes, same here. Having done nearly 700 miles in the first 4 days, I think 10k is a tad optimistic biggrin

Sad to say that I have read of this issue before on some another forum that went back months not weeks and was still unresolved having replaced the ECU, some wiring etc etc. IIRC a legal case was being bought as the car was deemed 'not fit for purpose' and a replacement sought through VAG, although I don't know what the final outcome was. This does not help you much I know, but maybe you need to be prepared to seek legal advice if it keeps persisting after being looked at and the car returned as OK by VAG.

Have read about matrix lights being useless here

My had has them on his 2015 A8 and they are amazing
You push the indicator stalk once towards the bonnet and they are enabled with an A in a headlight logo in your dash

They will auto high beam, then when an oncoming car comes past it will dipped beam only the section of the road where that car is coming past, the rest is still full beam

I sit there with my mouth open still now after 2 years

Drove at night for the first time last night, the auto dip does the same, just with the entire lit area. Very useful not to have to keep scrabbling for the stalk every time a car came past down a windy road.
I'm not sure the headlights as good as the Leon I had with LEDs, which used to raise the dip beam LEDs to full beam height, and then fill in underneath in the area the dip lights have just vacated with the "full beam" lights.

I nearly ordered them but by the time I had decided to add them it would delay the car.

How do you find the LEDs that it comes with as standard? I'm in the same position now as you were - debating about whether it's worth adding them or not!!
