No extra discount. I actually got the price wrong, it ended up £2560 initial, £284 thereafter. That's including metallic. Pretty happy with that, think it works out 19%

Just about to ftk on the following to replace the S5:

A6 Avant, 45 quattro black edition, with metallic.
£3300 initial, 23x £360

Pretty happy with that on a £49k motor, should be decent place to be for a couple years
Nice car congrats. Do you get a VWFS discount?
Not bad ive been tempted by this....

Hi all,

S5 has had to go In for a new thermostat. I knew it was needing tyres, they have contacted me and advised to change all 4.

The rears have 4mm, the fronts 2mm. It goes back in march, I will probably send back in February in actual fact to avoid mot. I'm currently only doing about 100 miles a week. Am reluctant to fork out £800 on rubber at this stage.

Any advice on what you would do? They have said they will price match any quote. My current thinking is find best price on 2 fronts and just get them done. Have considered part worns off eBay but thinking it might be hassle?

Any tips appreciated

Tyres are still legal, can you not leave them on?

The lease will stipulate more tread depth than the legal min afaik but regardless who wants to drive around with only 2mm of tread depth.

Yep, im not going to be driving with 2mm, as I said the fronts are being replaced. Was just debating between paying out for new which will do about 1200 miles, or the merits of part worn.

That's what I'd be doing. I wouldn't be replacing 4mm tread tyres on a car I'm getting rid of soon, they'll be fine.

I would get part worn from Ebay, decent condition of course. Some of them are new or almost new.

Hi. My current S5 is about 2.5 years old now. I noticed the other day that the exhaust fumes only seem to be coming out from the right hand side exhausts. Is this a common problem with the car and anything I can do? Car was just with Audi for service so would have thought they would have picked up issue with car on inspection if there were any problems

I think they're meant to do this.

Yes only really looked when car starts up. Does that mean the other exhausts are fake or they come into play when car starts moving?

All I can tell you is that on a cold day my S4 used to just pump out condensation from 1 pipe ( think it was inside right) on startup, but I had to remove the black stuff from all 4 chrome tips when i fettled it.

TL:DR: yes.

Ok guys... Completely novice question, and I feel like a donut for having to ask. I am getting some part worns put on as the car is going back in February... Took it to the place this morning, locking nut nowhere to be found!

The car has only ever been to main dealer for any works, so I've never even seen it. Looked in the spare wheel compartment, no sign... Either I'm missing something or the dealership have neglected to put it back in when they're last done there...

Called them, they said should be right by the spare wheel? Any help as always appreciated!

I often find dealers dump it in the glovebox.

Yep it's not there either. They've denied all knowledge despite being the only people that will have ever used it. Annoying!
