Are you sure it resets? I don't think mine has and I'm at 9800 miles.
All my other VWs have, at 100 hours. So I thought I'd get the pic beforehand. If not great!ETA : Unless you're Averaging 98mph of course
Finally locked down my S4 Avant spec. Brilliant Black with black leather, the 550GBP Matt grey RS Alloys, Virtual Cockpit and Extended LED Interior Lighting. Sad to do without the Matrix lights (and I know the L&V pack is better value) but I had to draw the line somewhere with it being a lease. Can't wait for March now!

Just picked up my new S4 a few weeks ago, great car but I cannot seem to get it to recognise a USB stick with music on it. Tried both MP3 files and also dragging normal iTunes files across on two different USBs but all it says is unreadable. Anyone else had the same issue? Cheers
Is the USB formatted as FAT32 not NTFS?Anyone else suffer from a gearboxy clunk first thing in the morning?
Every time I leave the house from cold, accelerating on a light throttle, it sounds like Wallis and Grommet are pulling a few levers and turning a few knobs to get it to go from fourth to fifth.
Never happens again until I set off from cold the next time.

Nope, nothing like that. Might be worthwhile having that checked out.Every time I leave the house from cold, accelerating on a light throttle, it sounds like Wallis and Grommet are pulling a few levers and turning a few knobs to get it to go from fourth to fifth.

Nope, not me either - every up or down change is smooth as silk, even from icy cold.Every time I leave the house from cold, accelerating on a light throttle, it sounds like Wallis and Grommet are pulling a few levers and turning a few knobs to get it to go from fourth to fifth.

It's not a clunk you feel, just a weird sound and only from fourth to fifth.I'm now wondering if it's something silly like the fuel cap central locking pin shooting out.
Took delivery of my saloon about 3 weeks ago - really pleased with it so far.
Not been out of Dynamic mode yet which probably explains why I'm achieving nowhere near the 30mpg showing in one of the pictures posted in this thread..
One poor quality image - still waiting for the rain to stop to get a decent photo opportunity !

I might pop out into the rain to check but I'm fairly certain I've gone over 100 hours and I've not had a reset? Also, I very rarely switch my driving mode out of auto. Does efficiency make an appreciable for anyone? I'm stuck on 25mpg because I don't do too much motorway/dual carriage way driving.
Love mine, goes like fk when I want it to, or is just a generally nice place to be for normal driving.
The sound is good too, and I don't find fuel consumption too bad, 24 to 27 for normal driving which is fine.
I went for the optional 19s and VC. Didn't need either really but I much prefer the way it looks, and the VC is brilliant. Standard dials are fine, but for 250 quid, it's worth it in my opinion.
Best all round car I've owned, and at a v good price over the 2 years I'm leasing it for

how are people enjoying their S4's? I'm looking at an avant this weekend but just wanted to get owners opinions on it so far?
Are there any must have optional extras that people wish they spec'd?
These IMHO are the basics for a S4/5:Are there any must have optional extras that people wish they spec'd?
Virtual cockpit is a must
B&O system is not worth the cost as standard is excellent
Red brake calipers - looks great
19" Carvo wheels
Storage pack
Flat bottom steering wheel
Carbon fibre trim as the brushed steel dents and scratches very easily
Rear tints look great on black
