Seems rather steep for a bulb blowing (appreciate LEDs last a lot longer, but still!)
They aren't "bulbs", they don't "blow", and they are not roadside-replaceable items.

If you have regular incandescent stop/side/indicators, get spare bulbs for them. don't worry about the headlights.

However, if you want something to show the gendarmes, buy some of these?

Thanks everyone for the help - guess I’ll just get a cheap kit to keep in the boot..

Are there *any* incandescent bulbs on a B9? Pointless if not.

I'd carry a few spare fuses, but that's not a legal requirement.

Just had a look online, the rules it appears are that its only user replaceable bulbs. So you won't need them given the lights are not user replaceable.

Got one for my other car in the end, that does have user replaceable bulbs in the end so as not to waste money... thanks for the info above, sounds as though I won’t need to bother taking it, but will be useful when I need to replace a bulb on the other one!

Very interesting thread, what a great read.

Reading the posts, it sounds like I've made the right decision after possibly being fooled by my broker's advice back in late May and putting pen to paper on "the last discounted S4 Saloon before the new emission rules in August come out." I'm paying £373 per month with a £1100 deposit for 24 months which sounds like I'm paying the right sort of price.

The car was built and shipped in less than a month and is now sat at the dealer waiting for me to decide if I want to pay the early termination fee on my current lease and get the S4 now, instead of the planned delivery date of September!

Due to being a lease I went totally bog standard - no special edition; white with black interior. Not sure if I regret not going for the VC after reading some of the comments, although I am pleased to see that the standard dash has a decent size colour display which can show the map... that's really all I'm fussed about so don't think I'll miss it too much!

Eagerly awaiting the quote for the current lease's early termination fee to come through!

A mixed bag of news for me today.
Firstly I clicked over 13k miles. Unfortunately I'm only 10 months in to a 2 year 20k contract and as I took maintenance I am looking at 25p per mile excess frown
Secondly since the 10k mark the engine seems to have loosened up a little and is now even more sprightly than before, and the mpg is also going up ( totalling 32mpg on the long term dash which has not been reset since I got it.

Finally, I went on holiday and got a Q2 Auto as a hire car for the weekend. 1.4 petrol - did everything you could expect of a hire car in Mallorca. It was red - who buys red cars in hot countries?!?!

And the mirrors folded in on their own. irked
( but you can't spell things out on the rotary controller)

Nice mate thanks happy with that then. Have you got one? Do you have any gripes with it?

Anyone else for that matter found any annoying niggles etc? That would be interesting to hear

Yeah I've got an S4 Avant, picked it up in March. Black with grey interior, light & vision pack and black styling. Love the car. Can't really complain other than the audio. Standard audio in My Passat Alltrack sounds better, but the sound of the engine makes up for it smile Only averaging 19mpg (long term) so would be nice if figure could jump up a bit lol

Nice, that’s good to hear. I love my music too so disappointed to hear about the shoddy standard audio, but you can’t have everything I suppose!

Personally I think the standard audio is excellent (B9 S5). Heard the B&O and there is not a great deal of difference although it does sound obviously better, but IMO not worth the extra cost.

I agree, I am into my audio but dont feel that the S5's audio is inadequate for what it is (when a car is not a good place for serious listening anyway). But I didnt expect it to be good given they do charge for a better one. Maybe the S5 has a better system than the S4? Unlikely though.

Agree on the poor audio in the S4, only when I've read these comments I've noticed I subconsciously don't have loud music on in the car anymore, tend to have it on quiet and listen to the engine note instead.

Would be pissed if I had the poor audio and a smaller engine that didn't sound decent!

The S5 has a large sub woofer in the boot under the spare wheel cover, not sure if the S4 does, but could make all the difference if not.

TBH it's ok a low volume, but if I crank it up a bit then you can definitely notice it's lack of quality.

I don't listen loud in the car, that's what home is for!

S4 has an 8” sub in the parcel shelf.

Sound kit looks like it should be plenty for me, the missus doesn’t like it too loud anyway. 🤔

Today sorted out my ALA GAP insurance with PH discount, and got my 5 days free drive away car insurance courtesy of Audi set to start on the 29th... ready to pick it up that morning. Can’t wait!

For those awaiting delivery or not in the know, I have noticed that the fuel economy in dynamic is better than eco mode as long as you have the gearbox in D rather than sport. I can get 38mpg driving with the cruise set at 60mph.

Really, not sure how my right foot feels about that but will give the next few trips a try.

How much was the GAP. Still need to sort mine out.
