The Golf GTI lease thread
Discussion
Hi all, I am due to be picking my Golf GTi up soon from Windrush Slough - it's finally moved to stage 7 of 7. Can't wait!
A question about servicing - I'm on a 2 year lease. What's the best plan for keeping the costs down?
I understand there's flexibility to extend by up to 3 months at the end of the 2 year period, which I assume I'll end up doing to make sure there's no gap between this and my next lease. But in that case it's bound to need 2 services instead of just 1.
So is it worth stumping up for the service plan (18 x £15.99 = £287) to cover the first 2 services? What do people think?
Thanks!

When I collected mine I asked the same question and was told it was set to the long term service schedule and wouldn't need first service until 14000 miles. Given I'm on 16000 total vw confirmed I'd only need the single service. They also said not to book the service but wait for the car to tell me it was dueA question about servicing - I'm on a 2 year lease. What's the best plan for keeping the costs down?

. Nice. So it's best to just haggle for the 1st service as and when it's needed, you think?sunniguy said:
Anyone know regarding any damage to the hire GTIs that were given out while waiting for our orders? Mine came via AMT vehicle rentals. I've kerbed one alloy. Should I get it repaired or will VW fork out the cost of the repair?
I imagine you'll be liable since it was you who kerbed the wheel not VW, exactly the same as it would be if it was your actual lease car.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
