I have only found out this weekend that the Dealership Configurator has many more options available than the Configurator available to us on home computers . For Instance ... there is a ' Leather to Sample ' option @ £ 2,588 for the Cayman S .

Has anyone experienced this ? Presumably the ' at home ' Configurator is only geared up to wet the appetite before visiting the Dealer to place an Order .

Aren't they just the Exclusive trim options? I doubt it has 918 style fixed buckets as an option for a base 718 Cayman (for example).

I think the availability of options changes quite a lot throughout the year depending on what's on at the factory and how busy the Exclusive team is. Or the other thing to check is you the most recent flash player installed. I can see the leather option on my configurator at home - it's at the bottom under extended customisation. To be fair that's an expensive way to get you thrills!

There are options "over and above" what's on the configurator but they can be very, very expensive (shock)....for example you can have different seat material like the pepita/houndstooth found in the 911 r and 991.1 50th Anniversary edition. I think that's about £5k! Or you can get side decals, bonnet painted in another colour etc etc

Loads of threads over on Rennlist about it...referred to as CXX options. There's a guy on there with a 911r who spent $60k on said options!

Whet (= sharpen), not 'wet'.

Q. What is the ' latest Flash Player ' and how do I install it ?

The Leather option on my configurator under extended customisation is £ 0.00 but only refers to the Standard Leather options for the Cayman Model not for ' colour to sample ' which presumably refers to other leather colours from the Porsche Range ... My Dealer is currently checking this .

On my configurator there are two ' paint brush ' symbols against the Body colours list but not a ' paint brush ' symbol in the Leather options list . My point being that the Dealers Configurator is more comprehensively equipped .
