VW mk6 golf key fob

Can anyone help with a solution to buying a replacement keyfob from the likes of eBay & having it reprogrammed to my 2009 mk6 gti golf ???? Or is this a "stealer " only option?? Have had to replace a lost key previously on a mk4 golf years back at a cost of over £200 from VW. As I Only have one key with car I recently purchased & would like a spare for emergencies but not at ransom money. Any response appreciated..

Can you speak to your local VW dealer and find out what the cost will be? When I bought my mk6 GTi in April 2014 it also only had one key, however, I bought the car from a VW dealer in Essex and insisted I wanted a spare key and I didn't pay anything as they have to sell a used car with two keys.
