Vantage - Full Correction and Gtech Application - With Pics
Discussion
Hi guys,
A few of us out there are detailing nuts and enjoy a good project!, so I thought I would share my process and end results after finally getting around to doing the Aston.
The paint was already in pretty good state so this made the process a lot easier (06 with 39k) , however am pretty confident I still put in 30-35 hours over the course of a month getting her to this standard and the results are awesome.
So Exterior Process :
Full AF Avalanche Snowfoam
Ironx applied to the wheels
3 Bucket method
Swisswax Body shampoo
Usually cleaning process then applied.
Dabbed dried
I have a DAS6Pro DA and used a 3" pad and applied a 2 stage process on all areas
Compound of choice was SCHOLL Concepts S3 Gold XXL which was unbelievable , first time I've used this after a recommendation. I used AF before and Menz however this was like night and day and brilliant on the black areas where I had struggled before.
Although the Scholl has an element of finishing compound I used Menzerna Super Finish as a final compound.
Once she had been fully corrected I then went about applying Gtechniq products. It was the first time I had used this and was a tad nervous however its a pretty simple process, although very time consuming if done correctly ... and once you start you can't stop!
Process:
Body-
Gtechniq - Panel Wipe the whole car ,
Gtechniq - Crystal Serum Light
Gtechniq - EXO v3
Wheels-
Gtechniq - Panel Wipe
Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour - Order the big one!
Glass
Gtechniq - Panel Wipe
Autoglym Glass polish (all i had lol)
Gtechniq - Panel Wipe
Gtechniq - G1
Gtechniq - G2
A few pics along the way enjoy chaps
P.s V12 wheels now no longer required after I have finally!! sourced a set of V12S Lightweight Forged wheels )))
Not sure why this is upside down?
Ta Da!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the kind words, has really been worth while
martindesu - The colour I believe is Lighting silver it has an unbelievable depth to the metallic flakes in the paint work, my daughter says it looks like diamonds!! she is 4 lol
The lightweight forge v12s wheels I found on ebay, there were 50 mins up the road. I've just ordered the centre caps and there currently in for a refurbishment so can't wait to get them fitted.
