Going away for 2.5 weeks, then 4 days later 3.5 weeks.
I will drive 30 miles or so during the 4 days to help recharge again, but will it last out the 3.5 weeks?
Is there a long term park mode or something that can be selected?
Unfortunately I do not have access to a plug point in my ( communal) garage so trickle charging is not an option.

Provided the battery is currently in a good condition, I'd reckon you'll be fine.

yep agree - my A4 is fine with very long stays in airport car parks.

you can always put a jump pack in the boot as an insurance policy against non-starting

My S5 hasn't moved since 9th July - I'll be finding out whether it starts first time next weekend when I drive 150 miles to recover it from the garage it's been sat in locked......

I feel I may need some 'good luck'!

As long as your battery is on good health it'll be absolutely fine.

Something like this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00M1OUBES/ref=mp... removes any worries. Really handy thing to have on board IMHO.

You'll be fine, your car, like my A5 has intelligent battery management.

You may find certain features don't work when you get back to it, but this is normal. For example when I left my car for a while during a harsh winter, the coming home lights didn't work to begin with.

Do S5s have an old fashioned key hole in the driver's door handle?

If leaving my Golf for that amount of time, I just pull the battery leads. The worst that happens is the engine ECU has to re-learn adapted values, but that takes all of 20 mins driving usually.
