Ok so bought a Audi A4 b6 tdi absolute nightmare basically what happened first was it had to get cam shaft kit replaced then I lost all power no boost like limp mode I have since got and checked all the followin

All solonoids/ vacuum hoses
Replaced turbo with a new reconditioned one

Checked air flow metre

The only thing my mechanic is saying now is that it could be the mapping sensor this is after getting a new turbo at £340 one thing if interes is

I don't know very much about cars but I noticed that if I starved the car by losing the black leaver beside egr valve and just before car does release it and it would boost again I had it boosting for a while then noticed a slight air leak and intercooler hose so patched it up and ever since I havnt got any boost after checking all that I mentioned.

Any help would be very appreciated thanks

Hard to even know where to start with that....... Just sell it and buy something that works!

Or alternatively find a mechanic that knows what he is talking about - your current one sounds like a bodging parts changer who couldn't do some decent diagnosis if his life depended on it!

Hi unfortunately selling it isn't a option as I've spent a small fortune since owning it and I've only had it a month from the turbo timing belt kit and labour it's nearly 850 plus what I payed for it.

I think possibly another mechanic is the only option

From what I've read up on the actuator/ turbo bar should move when starting and turning off the car. It didn't move at all so then the solonoids which mechanic told me he has checked and are all fine

It's a nightmare limp mode is hard to stick
