So e mail today from Horton, now its mid to late June but nothing confirmed, ask for procedure for cancellation, see what they come up with.
My current lease goes back 29 Jan. unsure of what to do tbh. 5 months without wheels is a long time, on another note how long does my no claims last for if i don't get another car?? just curious.

So, I ordered my Octavia vrs 245 through NVS 31 Oct with an estimated delivery of 18 weeks (end of Feb 2018) just been informed that my build week is now build week 23 (4th June 2018). Not happy that NVS haven't informed me earlier about this delay and given I've just done a Google search it appears the delays have been common knowledge. NVS have told me to call Skoda UK, have done and expecting a call back within 48 hours. Any idea what Skoda will do for me as I have my lease car going back in May and need a vehicle?
I ordered standard DSG in grey on 18th Oct from NVS and mine got built last week.Ursicles said:
Just had my weekly update call, to say still no build week allocated, but ill get another call next week to update me.
I shall look forward to learning nothing next week as well.
If they said they would pay the broker fee and £500 compensation, id happily cancel the order right now.
This is basically my situation too, I get a weekly email from the skoda dealership to tell me they still know nothing. Very frustrating but I know it's not their fault. I shall look forward to learning nothing next week as well.

Has anyone had a car delivered with a private registration? I've just had it taken off my current car and waiting for the certificate of retention. I'm supposed to have VWFS as the nominee? Will it be free for when it's delivered as don't want to have to pay an admin fee to have it changed afterwards.
Seems like a pain in the arse and dunno if it's worth the hassle. Car is supposed to be on it's way but i've had no finance documents through from NVS.

After much deliberation I have now cancelled my VRS245 order. I ordered the vehicle through a main Skoda dealer in the middle of October and was advised it would be delivered in February.
Communication was poor with the dealer with them ignoring my emails and not getting back to me over the phone. They never provided me with an order number as I was going to speak to Skoda Uk directly as I am now paying excess mileage on the other car. According to the dealer the build date was moved to May however it could have been later! Skoda advertised the deal too cheap and obviously received too many orders to meet the demand and obviously relying on customers to cancel their orders.
The deal was excellent £2400 down and £140.00 a month for black exterior. I am slightly gutted however was not prepared to be messed around by the VAG group. Seems this is a common trend and hearing the same stories with the Seat Cupra. Instead I have ordered the Volvo V90 and delivery will be end of March as it is in stock. Not the same type of vehicle however I am flexible.

Unfortunately not the same figures but was to be expected as retail cost for the v90 is around 39k. It basically costing me an extra £100 per month for the V90.Hopefully your VRS will be delivered in April. Spoke to Skoda and some orders are earlier now due to all the cancellations they have had. I am now wondering if I should have cancelled however could not take the chance of it being delayed again and need a vehicle asap.
I have a PCP ending in November so will look again around June/July to see what deals there are. I haven't really been impressed with the current Q1 deals so far this year.
