1. Lack of shortcut buttons for changing radio station/source when driving (rather than poking at the touchscreen) - Steering wheel buttons do this on mine I think?
2. So many menus on the instrument cluster makes it hard to decide what I want to see there - I just leave it on the digital speedo, though it's overriden by nav directions
3. Start/stop is pretty intrusive - it shuts the engine off quite often before I've even come to a stop! - First thing I do when I get in is turn it off, I'm investigating if it can be changed to of by default
Not a fan of:
1. Speedo goes in 20mph increments so 30 and 70 limits in the UK aren't exactly signposted very well (I tend to need digital speedo to be sure!) - See point two above, I always just have the digital speedo in the centre
Thanks for the feedback Beefy. As I'm so new to the car there are obviously elements I'm still learning, but thanks for the heads up re: steering wheel buttons for changing radio station - I had a prod at the arrow buttons this morning and hey presto, they do change stations. Although I'm not sure they move stations to your next favourite, but I'll have to investigate more.2. Got to say I'm really impressed with the car so far. It feels like a really solid machine. My 19 month-old daughter wanted to come to work in the car with me today, so she's a big fan too!

I got an update the other day, build slot in March. Not going to have it until June so no stress.
I have to say though, that picture above makes it look massively over-wheeled.
Yep I'm inclined to agree with you on the over-wheeled comment. It's odd though as it doesn't look so bad in real life. The wheels have had plenty of comments from friends and family though. They're definitely divisive. I'd prefer if they were either all black or all gunmetal grey - the two tone look makes them look very odd in photos.I have to say though, that picture above makes it look massively over-wheeled.
Oh and I have to park on the road as I don't have a driveway so it's a tense moment each time to avoid the kerb for sure! Parking sensors front and back with visual aid on the infotainment screen makes positioning in tight spots easy though.
Still no build date yet...
I did however ring skoda UK up with my order number and had a bit of a rant, the nice lady told me kind of what we already know. They had had too many orders for this particular model and had closed the order book early and thus had a big backlog but my order was still accepted and to be built.
The cars are been built in the factory in order of when they were ordered and the computer system is been updated manually in the factory rather than automated. (didn't fully understand that bit)
She also said (after checking with her manager) that all vehicles will be built by week 26 and that the car takes 3 days to build from the build date.

Think she gave you some total BS there. On the Skoda forum people who have ordered in November have their cars already and those who ordered in Oct are still waiting.
Think Skoda cocked up massively and frankly have no clue when the cars will be made or delivered. Week 26 is June, and I'm led to believe it's 3 weeks from build to receipt, so potentially that's towards July .... A 9 month wait for a Skoda is verging on hilarious!
Best be worth it when the thing finally turns up on my drive.
