For those with a current lease car hanging on waiting till after Sept for delivery of yr S4, beware that it will prob be on a 18 plate and NOT a 68 plate.
I'm sure that would be most calamitous on a lease when you don't own the car anyway.

12 months into my 2 year S4 lease and the insurance renewal pops in.

Up from £234 to £241 fully comp for the year.

This is by far the cheapest car I have ever insured!

Got ours now.

And... I am distinctly underwhelmed.

+ Suspension is nice and nuggety
+ Little bit chintzy inside but generally nice place to sit.
+ Engine sounds ok and seems to go quite well

- Standard alloys are hateful - also very kerbable, i give them a week before the wife trashes them.
- Non descript to look at but at least that was something I was aware of.
- Controls appear to be all over the place and not well thought out at all
- Wife complains of nowhere to put stuff, sunglasses, purse etc
- Appears a little flimsy, the BMW seemed to have thicker metal and thicker paint.
- Steering is awful and its not something for the keen driver

So there we are, hopefully it's a grower, it better be we have it for 2 years!

Hi, anyone here who got there S4 managed to get the Audi connect working ? I can't seem to get the advanced features such as remote unlock.

I have the plastic tab key and scratched off to reveal a lettered code which I tried to link below. But did not work ? any ideas ?

Does the Audi connect on the S4 have the unlock car feature as standard?

Must admit I have not read the manual.

Mine arrived at dealer in June. I was originally told that I could collect in september on 68 plate but now told thats not possible and I take it before or don't get the deal...

I've complained a little and asked if Audi will make any contribution to my remaining golf R payments. I'm waiting to hear back...

Have you guys been running in your s4 or just driving it like you stole it from day one?

If its rented, you can rag the nuts off it from day one. Resale, Never going to be your problem, is it?

No but I just wanted to know what will give the best results from the engine...

I've heard that the run in or not run in can result in a looser engine that gives better mpg than others and slightly better performance but not so sure how true this is?

If you are the primary user (doing what the poster above your post was trying to activate) then yes it does.

So they can't let you take it in September on an 18 plate?

No they said any cars unregistered by september have to go back to audi in germany..

so they will have to register it and sell it as a pre reg... and I can't have the deal I was on

Do ALA not do their price match where they beat other quotes by 20% of the difference anymore?

I would never give business to someone who had to lower their price to match someone elses - should be more competitive in the first place - I got a great price and great service from totallossgap so happy to give them my money

Exactly, I went with TLG as well.

Why go to the bother of getting ALA to price match when TLG offer the same service at a much more competitive price... The more business ALA lose from not being competitive, the more likely they are to review their pricing.
