The Audi S4 and S6 lease deal and general discussion thread

3rd for me too, low loader to the drive all the way from Preston, went black on black, black pack, tinted windows, virtual cockpit and debadge.... some other stuff I am sure I have forgotten. Getting excited now, moving over from a Golf R also, that is staying for a while though for the mrs
Got a call today to say my S4 WILL be now registered on Aug 31st (tomorrow) and will hence be on a 18 plate. Could of had it weeks ago !! I wish Audi would make their bloody mind up.
BCA came to inspect the Golf R wagon this morning, all good although I am not surprised, it's in excellent condition.
will be giving it a farewell drive to WSM tomorrow.

Surely whether it gets registered today or tomorrow doesn't make a difference, surely you were waiting for the Golf to go back (I don't understand the could have had it weeks ago comment)?BCA came to inspect the Golf R wagon this morning, all good although I am not surprised, it's in excellent condition.

Nope I had arranged for the Golf to go back 3 weeks ago as that's when I was originally told the S4 would be ready.Troll2 said:

I got in to a 2 year lease in August last year on an S5 Sportback. Slight change in circumstances saw me using it for Scotland - Wales and back twice a month so done 21000 miles in 12 months. Will go way over on lease allowance but love driving it so no problem.
Engine does loosen up nicely after 12-15k miles. Long term average MPG is now 31, and record is 36 cruising at 80. Usually get 300-330 miles to a tank but 400 just about possible on a long cruise.
Driving modes don't seem to make a huge difference to economy, just more noise. Seats are brilliant, and Google Maps on Satnav and Apple Carplay useful.
Tyres have lasted really well (Continental) now at 3mm after 21k miles. Will replace with same again. Amazing grip in the snow in March/April despite not being Winter tyres.
Seatbelt clonking against passenger seat can be resolved by moving the plastic clip/shroud on the seatbelt higher up so the buckle sits higher than the seat.
Had one service / inspection done at Edinburgh Audi at £428 but since found prices vary a lot so shop around if a service required.
Other than that, no issues to report. Must be one of the highest mileage around for a one year old S5 S/B so glad lease is a fixed price....

Got mine at 8am this morning, only driven about 30 miles so far including taking all the kids out in it !! Love the sound of the engine, and suspension seems a lot firmer than my Golf R.
Will be taking it to the office tomorrow which is 30 miles each way of boring M4.
Spent most of the day setting it all up and giving it a clean and some protection.
Those std alloys are going to be fun to keep clean !!
