Which fast Audi's are holding their value/appreciating?

Suspect very few cars of the age your looking at will be appreciating in value just yet, and older than that is maybe not going to be as quick as you want. Take my 16 year old S8, not quick by modern standards but bloody well built and a dream to drive, and I suspect mine is probably worth not much less than I paid for it 8 years ago, I appreciate thats probably not what you are after. The C6 RS6 are now available at reasonable prices for decent ones and whilst they won't be appreciating they have done a huge whack of their depreciation already, and for 2nd hand Mondeo money you can get a lot of car, which will still depreciate less than that shiny newer Mondeo. You do need to have a wife who earns decent money to maintain them though

Camberley's service department was pretty good when i last had cause to use them; Kayleigh is very helpful too (who I used to deal with there). They do seem to handle a lot of S & RS cars still so better placed than one of the smaller dealerships.Thanks
Amersham Audi had a shakeup on staff a few years back and their service department is now really good (Luke particularly so) and more convenient for me (although possibly not for you).

I would like to think its D3 successor, my 2005 W12 sports quattro, which I bought 4 yrs ago will hold its value. Only a few were made before it in turn was succeeded by the S8 V10. They are indeed every mile a pleasure - and still pretty quick! (they were never tested in the UK as hardly any were sold).

I still miss my old B7 Avant 8 years after selling it! Those buckets look like new, the side bolsters on mine were shot after 30k miles so I presume they've been replaced or maybe the previous owner was Darcy Bussell?JonLock said:

The seats are literally like new! No idea how they are still immaculate, the previous owners seem to have been very anal about the car in all aspects. Leaving notes to audi when serviced not to test drive or wash and supplying his own oil. The biggest MOT advisory it has had in its life was a shock was 'misting slightly'. That was replaced straight away! Other than that just tyres getting low. Uggers said:

Agree here, I got a well looked after C5 RS6 with lots of gearbox maintenance done early this year. 450 or so bhp and feels well made. Down in value at the moment, but I don’t think decent examples will lose much if anything..and was also the lowest priced of the RS models for sale currently. I think the values will increase in the next few years of all genuine older and clean RS models.Soon as they started doing an RS for virtually every model at the same time they lost the special(ness). Its going in for a full refurb in the new year on the suspension, subframes, drive shafts, brakes and pipework, it fact everything that looks old underneath will be getting sorted. Its got 105k miles on the clock and is in perfect condition inside, its never let me down. Ive driven it to Monaco F1 and back without a hiccup. Its a keeper for me.

That is my experience of buyng a 'cheap' R8. For £42k at the time which is practically what I have now spent, I could have got one with higher spec and probably 20,000 less miles
Howerver... it is stunning, when the new exhaust is on it will be amazing (going for a valved system) and my engine work included the carbon clean which they all need doing every 30k-50k so it had quite a bit more poke after that was done. Bonnet does have quite a few chips too but in all honestly I use it on the motorway all year and it is very low so that's inevitable and doesn't bother me too much

If the paint hasn't already been messed around with and there IS corrosion you stand a reasonably good chance of getting a new bonnet (painted) for nowt.

As for price point of the v10, they seem to be around 47-48k for the cheapest with higher miles, there’s a few decent looking private examples for sale now around 50-52k with 30-40k miles. Then there’s a few with 20-30k miles in dealers for 55-57k but these have generally been for sale for over 6 months, in fact all the cars I’ve been watching online have been advertised for quite a while. V10 plus with the dual clutch Stronic can be had at early 60k’s now.
