Giulia Quadrifoglio offers
Discussion
Hi everyone. looking to change the M4 soon and would like to go for a Giulia. I got a great deal on the M4 back when it was first released and info on how to get the best possible price is fairly available on the internet. The Quadrifoglio however seems a little more difficult. I would be looking to PCP the car and will have it optioned to around £71k. I have used carwow and discounts seem to be at 8% contribution. Is this normal or should I be looking for the 15% they are offering as a straight sale? Normally dealerships offer preferred discount to their finance packages so it seems odd to have the straight sale so competitive. TIA
BMW are the kings of finance, discounting their cars massively with huge deposit contributions and low interest rates ...
You probably won't get a deal that comes close to the peak M4 deals as Alfa haven't cottoned onto this as a way of shifting volume. FCA finance on the whole are also completely incompetent, but that's a story for another day ...
I can highly recommend Beechdale in Derby if you go down the Alfa route, and would be interested to see what deal you manage to get. I'm hoping to get into a QF in about 18 months time once my BMW goes back.

Take a PCP deal out with a finance house not linked to Alfa - get the bigger discount as you’ll be a cash buyer.
Been looking at this, this afternoon. That way got a £9.5k discount at Leicester on the cards. Missed out on the £11k i had a Derby in the last quarter but just wasn't ready to do a deal then. QF is more costly to make than the M4, which is a factor in why they aren't so heavily discounted. BMW have massive margins thanks to the sheer volume of cars, the QF is still very rare to see on the roads.
On the upside for us current owners, the lack of discounts is good for residuals.

Build cost aside. The car is more expensive to buy than an M4 in the beginning and Alfa guarantee a lower future value than BMW. This push both ways on the amount to finance coupled with a worse interest rate makes it considerably more expensive to own. You’d hope the residuals stay strong and see it back in equity but that’s just hoping. On the upside for us current owners, the lack of discounts is good for residuals.
Well there was an article recently in a car mag (AutoCar possibly) where they compared buting a 2017 Quadrifoglio versus a 2017 M3. The M3 was slightly dearer new but it now cost slightly less so it depreciated faster than the Alfa.
Alfa do seem to be overly pessimistic on future values.

So just to be Clear the 71k list you can basically get for 55k paying cash ? Who's offering that ? Quite tempted sixspeed said:
15% of 71k is £10,650. So how are you getting to 55k? Sounds like the car would be more like £60k with a cash sale.
Lol apologies I typed with much excitement I didn't think ! 60k is a great price for what your getting especially compared to an M5 . Certainly the bargain of the fast saloon
Never used this place but their price of £54,980 on a new Giulia QV is the best I've found so far and miles better than the offers I've had on Carwow.

That's the 15% then :-) http://www.broker4cars.co.uk/Buy/New_Car.jsp?selec...
At 60k with options it's still a bargain
I'm seriously tempted by the Broker4cars deal, but it seems that in many cases you pay them rather than the dealer direct, which is rather unusual and i'm not sure i'm content to do this. Still, they have been around for years - if they were disreputable, you would think there would be stories out there about it....
Edit: a bit of digging, and it looks like they normally buy the cars on fleet terms, hence big reductions and wanting you to pay them direct, and often not being the first registered keeper. Not going to go near them with a barge-pole to be honest. Maybe on a 15K car but not on a Giulia. Website looks two-bit as well.
If it looks to good to be true and all that.

Had a test drive today and really enjoyed the car. Couple minor niggles in that the screen is very reflective and the lovely green and white stitching is perfectly in your eyeline. It’s very hard to gauge a car on an assisted test drive I think. BMW will let me have any m car for days on end to help a decision. As far a deals the car wasn’t subject to much discount but I expect that’s the dealership. The mention of a 10% Brexit price rise is a worry so I’m going to hang fire until that settles. It was also said deposit would be lost if I backed out because of the rise! Anyone else had this? I went to BMW and asked them, they said that wouldn’t happen on a new order with them. Despite them importing the car also. If there were anything ever to change an agreement on their part they would fully return any deposit.
