Used DB11 or old DBS?

Hi Guys,
Interested to hear people's thoughts on whether, give the choice in the used market, you would go for the 'new generation' DB11, or a the last generation DBS (of Casino Royale fame)?
Having looked at the DBS in the past, prices seem to be softening a little and you can get a nice car for around £80k (probably with around 20-25k miles). On the other hand you then have the V12 DB11 with all the updated tech, build quality etc, for as little as £100k now (2016/17 models).
Personally I am rather torn - like the idea of the newer car, but at the same time I feel like the DBS is just the more special car IMO. I have warmed to the DB11 styling a lot and I think it does have presence, but can't help but feel the DBS has the edge...

Haven't driven the DB11 but they look alot better in person than in pictures. Last year when I was changing cars I test drove the old DBS and although beautiful on the outside I didn't think it was very quick and the slushy auto box didn't agree with me at all, plummed for a V12VS in the end which had a much harder edge to it and the SS3 gearbox a big improvement over the one in the DBS, I only drive it in manual mode not auto.

If a good DBS was available, that would be my choice.
Puzzled by gearbox comment above. Thought the DB11 and the auto version of the DBS both have torque converter gearboxes (although a greater number of gears in the DB11).
Both built on an alloy component chassis.
The DB11 might have more tech. but does that concern you? The DB11 might look more modern now than a DBS, but when it is replaced the tables are turned.
Beautiful cars, with the Bond connection and might have less depreciation than a DB11.

So pleased with the V12VSR though and now I'm used to SSIII it's just epic. We're off to northern Spain in a couple of weeks - bring on the tunnels, hairpins etc !!!!!
Own a DBS (TT - had a manual previously) and have driven the DB11 V8 for a few hours. It has better dynamics in every single way and I can't wait to try the V12 AMR. DBS is still better looking and the interior feels more special but in terms of build quality, ride, infotainment, steering etc the 11 has it.
Nobody can really say how the depreciation curve will be when you compare a newer DB11 with low mileage to a DBS with 25k on the clock.

I totally agree with you - owned a new DBS TT back in 2009 and now a DB11 V8 Nobody can really say how the depreciation curve will be when you compare a newer DB11 with low mileage to a DBS with 25k on the clock.
As a biased owner of a DBS in manual. Go the DBS!

I think the DBS is in a sweet spot, drives beautifully, sounds/looks amazing, has an interior that should age very well, and is a GT that weighs the pretty much the same as a V12V.

Can't disagree with any of that.
