100% this weekend.

Can anyone suggest a decent method to clean the car I’ve been a power wash man I’m the past but I’d like to give this a proper wash then I’ll take some pictures for you all once it’s done. I wouldn’t mind spending a few quid but I don’t want to go daft on product

Any one know if you can switch off keyless entry on the car? I've seen some info that suggests you can and option under settings > central locking > convenience key but not sure if enabled on UK car? Also anyone know what steering lock will fit I was looking at Stoplock Pro? I'm a bit worried as a number of keyless entry thefts in my area last few months neighbour across road had his car nicked few months back off the drive, they seem to be targeting new cars rather than fast stuff.

Cheers
Took delivery of my A4 Avant Black and purchased a Stoplock Pro for it, fits fine.

I bought a little nilfisk pressure washer off amazons warehouse (like new) and foam my car and clean it using the fittings it came with. I then dry the car using the karcher window vac and it looks lovely! Both pieces of kit cost about £80 but I clean my patio and windows to so worthwhile investment imo ??
I have a power washer and a karcher window vac is it really ok to use on the car?

Just re evaluated and perhaps my advice was off (deleted the comment)

Pressure washer is fine with the right attachment (lancehead) but the karcher is decent for drying however I recall Audi's paint is delicate and the karcher will likely scratch it! Hope you didn't do it already!

Great stuff! I'll do the same. Looking forward to see some pics of different colours. I'm intrigued to see the metallic white that I've got - not a fan of white cars normally but it was the cheapest stock car I could get.

Just arranged insurance for the new car arriving next week. What a palaver.

Tried the usual comparison sites, prices came back pretty high - higher than a couple of weeks ago at least. Over £500 per year for me and wife as named driver, homeowners with two kids, living in southern England aged 40 no convictions or points, over 10 years no claims etc.

So then tried the big guys that are not on those sites like Aviva, Direct Line, Admiral. Their quotes were eye watering i.e. about £250 higher than the comparison site quotes.

Ended up going with the comparison site option but paying the same as my current Octavia vRS245 DSG. Presumably despite the small engine in comparison (i.e. 100bhp less than the Skoda) the car itself is more valuable in terms of RRP.

Interested to see how those of you who have received or drove the car are getting on.

I placed my order early on for a stock A4 Avant 35 S-Tronic with comfort and sound pack in Daytona Grey however someone has messed up (Affinity/Audi) and the best they can do now is secure one which has a build date of early December with delivery next year. I take it this will be circa March/April? They are due to confirm back on this.

I did want something asap therefore considered pulling out but getting a great deal so may hold on providing you guys are happy with the car?

I am coming from a fantastic all rounder, Mk7 Golf GTi which I had on a bargain 2 year lease that I ended up extending. I am hoping the Luxury side of the Audi with the additional ambient lighting and upgraded audio will help make up for the lesser performance.

Long time lurker here who also took advantage of the deal, turns out my company were eligible for affinity leasing.

Went for the 40tfsi in pearl grey. Was delivered today to a friend who runs a detailing business who’s going over it tomorrow and giving it a ceramic coating.

He’s shared the following:

Credit to the supplying dealer, my detailing buddy has said it’s turned up really clean with remarkably good condition paintwork!

Looks nice my turns up tomorrow, who was the supplying dealer in the end? What's the ceramic coating do? I went for flat white which I'm kind of regretting.

Nice pics indeed. I'm intrigued to see what the gadgets are all like - things like high beam assist and the virtual cockpit system.

Any front end pics and pics of the boot would be good. smile

(I'm sad and want to see the space for baby-related stuff!)

Oh and can anyone who's received their car confirm that the boot has a reversible floor so that (the wife) can shove the buggy in there without ruining the carpet like she's done to our current car?

A reversible floor would be great. Otherwise boot liners are about £35 for the rubber proline one (which looks sturdy) on eBay.

Afraid not; they’re hard at work but only got one of the same angle just covered in snow foam.

Collect the car tonight and got a 25 min drive back so will report findings then.

And re the ceramic, it’s this product apparently:

Will let you know what it’s like!!

I'm going to have a guess on Coulsdon for the grey one. LX usually South London or Croydon I think.
