Not seen that issue myself, but I'm still having issues with the nav - it's just no good at searching for postcodes. Will see how I get on, otherwise I'll just use Waze on carplay but then it doesn't show on the instrument cluster which is annoying.

The radio also has a weird issue where if I prod the radio shortcut button and accidentally then press the current station I'm already listening to (very easy to have fat fingers when using a touchscreen rather than iDrive style wheel) the station will then go silent and loses reception. Drives me mad!

Will see if mine does the same.

Yeah pity you can't get other navs on main dash, the big screen I'm not really fan of so switch it off alot. I've switched off auto wipers as well, seems to be the only way to get normal intermittent wipers.

Needs wireless charging I thought it would come with it 19 model did, other poster got both option packs and still no wireless charging.

I seen vids about Audi launch control and steps, anyone tried it do we have it? I've not tried it yet.

Lease newby here.

Does anyone have any experience in leasing a car for higher mileage than the standard 8-10K miles per year?

I ned to change my C Class Estate in the next few months but will need 18-20K per year. Are there any worthwhile lease deals available for this sort of mileage or would the payments be too step?

Thanks

RGW leasing have good offers currently, and on the TDI which would be better on fuel savings so I'd check them out

Apparently wireless charging is now only available in the S4.

Popping back to this thread to share a couple of strange / annoying occurences in the last two weeks. Anyone else had similar?

1. Driving down to a friend's new house round the M25 the whole instrument cluster decided to reset itself (as in turn off completely so all screens went black and rebooted). I didn't think it was the end of the world as it rebooted pretty quickly. The really ste thing though is that when on the move on the motorway, we couldn't input our destination into the sat nav - it wouldn't understand the post code via voice recognition and it wouldn't let my wife (who was in the front passenger seat) to manually enter the destination as we were moving! An example of when someone's created a 'safety feature' which cocks up usability in the real world. Annoyingly, Waze via Car Play also wouldn't let us enter a destination either as we were moving!

2. After dropping off my daughter at nursery, I was pootling along in rush hour traffic past the school where she goes, only for the car to slam on the brakes for no reason whatsoever. A big red 'Audi pre-sense' warning popped up on the dash, so evidently it thought I was going to hit something (even though there wasn't a car in sight in front of me, nor any other obstructions!) Thankfully the car behind me was quite far back otherwise I'd have been rear ended. Ridiculous.

Apart from those two 'situations' I'm enjoying the car. It's a very nice bit of kit and bonkers value for money.

I’ve had the pre sense happen twice you can change the sensitivity of the pre sense in the settings.

It still does it on the lowest setting. It is quite irritating!

Jesus, sounds like it's a common issue then - I'll take a look in the settings. Any idea if it can be disabled? I really don't fancy spending my time around town anticipating emergency stops all the time!

I've had a few MMI and dig dash gremlins as well, was surprised tbh as they rolling this out as standard, I will get get it looked at. The pre-sense I've not had but we also have it on gf's Nissan Cashcow and it does it there as well on that you can switch it off though completely BUT you have to do it everytime you start the car as default re-enables it. On the Cashcow lots of posts about it as well I think in US there was some legal claim going on as it caused a few accidents. I've not experienced it yet in the A4 but only really done motorway stuff in, pre-sense is another tech we probably don't really need, along with keyless entry.

Very good, but remember I'm coming from a Scirroco R so don't read too much into my opinion. It can feel a little crashy with bi potholes and the 19s but its absolutely fine for me. It rides speed bumps very well which is a good job as there are st loads round my way.

Spent a bit more time with the car today (50 miles) so starting to get more of a feel for it, the more I drive it the more impressed I become.

I do have one issue the wing mirrors have stopped folding in when I lock the car, any idea how I can fix this?
How you sort the wing mirrors not folding mine is doing same after I set up a user and didn't just use guest account?

Thanks

Had the Audi just over a month now and very happy with it. The build quality is great and feels very solid, I personally love the steering wheel, suede door trims, general feel of the car.

The extras (comfort and sound pack) make a big difference and would highly recommend if anyone is considering a future purchase. I would be at a loss without the Bang & Olufsen sound system and thoroughly enjoy getting in and streaming high quality music. With the windows closed the car is relatively silent and smooth. The 360 camera and ambient lighting equally fun and useful features.

The 35 engine is not the most powerful but surprisingly decent and liveable for me. There is generally just me or two of us in the car so possibly not so great for those regularly carrying a full load.

Bad points/niggles - As others have mentioned i have also found the car can be slow to move off at standstill but getting used to this, turning off start stop helps but has caught me out a couple of times on roundabouts / or when other road users are giving way it can be slow to react.

MMI/My Audi login - There is a problem with all 2020 A4’s and logging in with my audi leaving us without useful features such as sending destination to car etc (some other models may be effected). I also find myself constantly logged out and using guest account. mmi has froze and crashed once on login page.

As documented on audi-sport forum I believe Audi are aware of this fault and are yet to release an update/fix.

I’ll be taking the car on a 250mile round airport run soon with 5 adults/5 medium size cases!! Will see if there is enough room but may be getting a thule roof rack, will keep you guys posted on how it performs.

Hi all

Anybody got an A4 on order and struggling to get a delivery date?

Ordered a 40tfsi Avant at the end of November and to date no delivery or build date confirmed, was told at the start it would be delivered mid March.

I chase regularly but all I get told is there is a delay at the factory means there is no information available?

Anybody in the same boat or have I just unlucky, this is not my first lease so can understand sometimes there are delays but usually I get at least an anticipated delivery......
